07/26/25 SIXTEEN WORKS OF DIVINE PERFECTION

07/26/25 SIXTEEN WORKS OF DIVINE PERFECTION

I preach that there is a perfection, to which God calls us in this life, and which God provides and enables us to live in this life, and finally God expects us to have in this life.

The word "perfect" or its cognates is used 60 times in 57 verses in the KJV New Testament, of which 50 refer to qualities in the believer's life in this present evil world. A few of those verses refer to resurrection perfection, some refer to the perfection of Christ and His work. But the vast majority refer to the Divine work of God in His people in this present evil world. Likewise, the Old Testament uses the same forms of "perfect" 69 times in 67 verses, of which 30 verses specifically refer to qualities in the believer's life in this life. Other translations are very much the same. I will be posting my article on this list in the near future (the Lord willing).

Most folks fail to see what the Bible says about this perfection. This perfection is not Absolute Perfection or Angelic Perfection of Adamic Perfection. This perfection can rightly be called, Atonement Perfection (or Bible Perfection or Believer's Perfection or Christian Perfection).

However, there are other words and phrases in the Bible, which indicate the complete, finished, thorough, total work of salvation. In this post I include one of my articles, entitled Sixteen Areas of Believers Perfection. AGAIN, this is not about Absolute Perfection or Angelic Perfection or Adamic Perfection. This is about perfections available to believers through faith in God's salvation.

Still, people resist the grace of God, which can perfect them in the way God wants to perfect them in this present evil world. When the Bible tells us to be perfect, it is better to find out what kind of perfection it is referring to, rather than high handedly throw it off as an impossibility.

Here is an article I wrote and reprinted a few times about Sixteen Areas of Believer's Perfection, which God provides for those who trust and follow Him. It is reprinted in my complete blog article on November 2, 2014.

09/02/22 PERFECTION... IT IS THIS CLEAR AND THIS SIMPLE
When you get down to it, the perfections that are commanded by God and attainable by grace are mocked by sinning religion.

01/20/22 HERE ARE THE 16 AREAS OF PERFECTION I REFERRED TO IN MY VIDEO
(In my original post [5588 words] I included a Greek and Hebrew word study, along with other pertinent material. In this post, I only give the sixteen points [1369 words].
Sixteen Areas of Believer’s Perfection
(the numbers in parenthesis are the Strong's numbers for the word, "perfect" and its derivatives).

1) Perfect In Love
Matthew 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect (S 5046), even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect (S 5046).

Colossians 3:14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness (S 5047).

1 John 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected (S 5048): hereby know we that we are in him.

1 John 4:12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected (S 5048) in us.

1 John 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect (S 5048), that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect (S 5048) love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect (S 5048) in love.

2) Perfect In Mercy
Luke 6:36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
DLG notes…
Though the word, "perfect" is not used in this verse, it is only reasonable that we are exercising perfect mercy when WE ARE AS MERCIFUL, AS OUR HEAVENLY FATHER IS MERCIFUL.

3) Perfect In Holiness
2 Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting (S 2005) holiness in the fear of God.

Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
DLG notes…
Though the word, "perfect" is not used in this verse, WE WERE CHOSEN TO BE HOLY AND WITHOUT BLAME, and this is PERFECT HOLINESS.

1 Thessalonians 5:23-24
23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
DLG notes…
Though the word, "perfect" is not used in this verse, GOD PROMISES TO SANCTIFY (MAKE HOLY) BELIEVERS WHOLLY, COMPLETELY, ENTIRELY, THROUGH AND THROUGH. THIS IS PERFECT CLEANSING.

Titus 2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
DLG notes…
Though the word, "perfect" is not used in this verse, it is self-evident that PERFECT HOLINESS IS THE RESULT OF "DENYING UNGODLINESS AND WORLDLY LUST" AND "LIVING SOBERLY, RIGHTEOUSLY, AND GODLY IN THIS PRESENT WORLD."

1 Peter 1:15-16
15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
DLG notes…
Though the word, "perfect" is not used in this verse, it is self-evident that being holy, as God is holy and being holy, in ALL MANNER OF BEHAVIOR IS PERFECT HOLINESS.

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
DLG notes…
Though the word, "perfect" is not used in this verse, it is impossible to be more perfectly cleansed from sin, than to be CLEANSED FROM ALL SIN.

4) Perfect In Righteousness
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
DLG notes…
Though the word, "perfect" is not used in this verse, it is impossible to be more perfectly cleansed from unrighteousness, than to be CLEANSED FROM ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS.

1 John 3:7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
DLG notes…
Though the word, "perfect" is not used in this verse, it is impossible to be any more righteous than GOD IS RIGHTEOUS.

5) Perfect In Purity
1 John 3:3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
DLG notes…
Though the word, "perfect" is not used in this verse, it is impossible to be any more pure than GOD IS PURE.

6) Perfect In Conscience
Acts 24:16 And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offense toward God, and toward men.
DLG notes…
Though the word, "perfect" is not used in this verse, a person’s conscience cannot be any more perfect than BEING VOID OF OFFENSE TOWARD GOD AND MEN.

7) Perfect In Christ Likeness
Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
DLG notes…
Though the word, "perfect" is not used in this verse, it is impossible to be any more perfect than to be CONFORMED TO THE IMAGE OF JESUS.

[8] Perfect In Christian Walk
1 John 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
DLG notes…
Though the word, "perfect" is not used in this verse, it is impossible to behave or live our lives any more perfectly than WALKING AS CHRIST WALKED.

9) Perfect In Obedient Thought
2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
DLG notes…
Though the word, "perfect" is not used in this verse, it is impossible to have a more perfect thinking pattern than to BRING EVERY THOUGHT CAPTIVE TO THE OBEDIENCE OF CHRIST.

10) Perfect In Spiritual Mindedness
Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
DLG notes…
Though the word, "perfect" is not used in this verse, it is impossible to have a more perfect mind than to HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST.
Philippians 3:15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect (S 5046), be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

11) Perfect In Forgiving Others
Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
DLG notes…
Though the word, "perfect" is not used in this verse, it is impossible to forgive more perfectly than FORGIVING EACH OTHER AS GOD FORGIVES US.

12) Perfect In Unity
John 17:22-23
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect (S 5048) in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

13) Perfect In Consistent Service
1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
DLG notes…
Though the word, "perfect" is not used in this verse, it is impossible to be more consistent in service to God than being STEADFAST, UNMOVABLE, ALWAYS ABOUNDING IN THE WORK OF THE LORD.

14) Perfect In Christian Graces And Growth
Hebrews 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection (S 5047); not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

15) Perfect In The Will Of God
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect (S 5046), will of God.

16) Perfect Deliverance
Hebrews 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
DLG notes…
Though the word, "perfect" is not used in this verse, it is impossible to be saved more perfectly than to be SAVED TO THE UTTERMOST.

This was taken from my FB article, which I reprinted in my complete blog article of November 2, 2014.

07/23/25 ADAM AND JESUS

07/23/25 ADAM AND JESUS

Two Gardens; Two Temptations; Two Results.

Adam in the Garden of Eden.
Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane.
Adam gave into temptation.
Jesus prayed through impending death and made it to the cross.
Adam brought a world into sin.
Jesus brought salvation to, "whosoever will believe."

07/23/25 BEWARE THE OCCULT

07/23/25 BEWARE THE OCCULT

BEWARE of that which claims to be, "SIXTH SENSE," (which is actually nonsense).
It is not spirituality; it is "Spiritualism."
It is not spiritual enlightenment; it is devilish deception into the dark arts.
It is not Holy Spirit wisdom; it is the hellish delusion of the "craft."

The occult, the New Age view is not "new."
It is ancient and it is destructive.
Beware the New Age, The New World Order, the New Christianity, it is the old lie, coming from the old Liar.

There is nothing more current, more enlightening, more liberating than the old, old story of Jesus and His love.

Darkness has been seeking to lead people away from God since the Garden. Today's rejection of God's word (the Holy Bible) and God's Son (Jesus) and God's salvation (deliverance from sin's penalty, power and pollution) leads to spiritual oppression, bondage and eternal separation.

The only hope for our world, our society, our family, our own self is saving faith in Christ. The battle for minds, souls, and families is raging. Choose ye this day, whom you will serve. Your own well-being and that of your loved ones depends on a deliberate decision and surrender.

Isaiah 55:6-7
6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Ephesians 6:10-13
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

07/22/25 WHEN MEDIUM IS EXTREMELY WRONG

07/22/25 WHEN MEDIUM IS EXTREMELY WRONG

I kid you not. I saw a car in Beaufort with stickers advertising these two evil practices:

"Evidential Medium"
and
"Animal Communicator."

I know, I couldn't believe it either. I looked it up online and found several kinds of Mediums or "Spiritualists," as if one kind is not more than enough. These are only two among several kinds of occult deceivers, roaming the roads and delivering deceit.

07/21/25 SEEKING HOW TO OBEY

07/21/25 SEEKING HOW TO OBEY

If those ("Christian") folks who believe in sinning religion are right, shouldn't Matthew 5:48 say, "Be not perfect (in love), as your Father which is in heaven is perfect"?

Or could it be that Matthew was correct when he quoted Jesus saying, "Be ye therefore perfect (in love), even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect"?
Could it be that it means what it says?
Could it be that God provides the presence and power of salvation working in our lives to meet God's standard?
Could it be that those folks just don't understand the words of Jesus or could it be that the love of sin is what causes them to boldly contradict the clear words of Christ?

Shouldn't folks be seeking how to obey, please, follow the words of Jesus rather than confidently saying that God's word does not mean what it says or that God demands something from us that is impossible for us to do?

07/19/25 GOD USES RAVENS

07/19/25 GOD USES RAVENS

Whatever good has been done during this present Administration, is due to the intervention of God. I am grateful for a POTUS who has chosen to make America the focus of his policy making (at least to the degree that he has so far). It is a welcome change from the Idiocrasy and Sinsanity in past Administrations.

Do not be deceived. The good we are enjoying nationally is because of God's intervention, and His use of a willing POTUS. It is a far cry from the selling out of our nation by the Burrocrats that we had earlier.

But we are not seeing an actual Christian leadership. Most folks do not care that our President using vile and profane language in his speech. In fact, many consider it to be a sign of power, manliness, authority. God does not see it that way. Folks don't think words matter, but remember, we live and die by words and God will judge us according to every word we use.

It is one thing to take steps to strengthen a nations military, economy, education and safety. But when personal choices are repugnant to God, then it influences an unwary nation. Regardless of the strength of law, finances and world trade, the building of personal, social and national moral principles is essential. When decay runs rampant in the moral realm, then total collapse will follow in the other areas of national and social well-being.

I am glad for the good that happens. But I also realize that it is a momentary good, which will be washed away with the next flood tide of political, moral, religious sewage. Our nation needs military and law enforcement to protect the righteous (law abiding) and to punish the wicked (law breakers), and it needs financial accountability and social industriousness rather than laziness, and it needs a wall to protect citizens from organized perversion, corruption, oppression, drugs. But most of all our country needs personal righteousness and repentance and Bible faith. We will not see a nation fully return to God until Jesus comes back to reign from Jerusalem.

Our need is not simply to have a Conservative viewpoint or a commitment to American ideals. Our need is a faith and obedience to the God of the Bible. There are a lot of people who are counting on Trump to deliver America from corruption and destruction, and many of them are open rejectors of Jesus and Biblical living. I understand why they think Trump is The Rider on a White Horse. They don't have a Biblical mindset. BUT HE IS NOT THE DELIVERER. He is neither the rider in Revelation 6 (the anti-Christ) or The Rider in Revelation 19 (Jesus, the returning King). However, Christians must not put their approval on the wickedness of anyone, even if God is using that person for temporary benefits. God is the Giver of every good and perfect gift. God is our Judge, our Lawmaker, our King. God is our Savior.

Remember, sometimes God uses the raven to deliver the food. Don't trust the unclean raven. We live in a fallen and lost world, and we seek to do good while we are here. But this world is passing away with its lusts. Our children need people to show them the true Savior. We need to be dedicated only to Jesus. No one else deserves our allegiance.

07/17/25 ONLY THREE

07/17/25 ONLY THREE

There are only three infallible People, and He is God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. His word is the final authority on any subject.

07/17/25 LOVE IS NOT AN EXCUSE

07/17/25 LOVE IS NOT AN EXCUSE

Loving the sinner does not include loving, approving or accepting the sin. In fact, being a Christian means we are aware of sin's destruction. Not only does sin destroy the sinner's personal life, but it also destroys other people through the sinner. It destroys a right relationship with God. It separates the sinner from God forever.

When we love someone, we want them delivered from destruction, we want them delivered from sin.

When people hold to their sins, they are not trusting or loving God. People live in sin willfully because they love sin more than they love God.

07/14/25 ALIGNMENT WITH GOD

07/14/25 ALIGNMENT WITH GOD

A Biblical Christian (an actual Christian, opposed to a cultural or political or religious Christian) is dedicated to God, which is demonstrated by supporting that which is good, true, godly.

Our commitment is not determined by personalities, but by principles. We do not stand for or against principles based on the personality promoting or opposing the principle.

God and His word are consistent and trustworthy, though people are subject to change and error. Sometimes God uses evil people to accomplish good.

Believers should unashamedly and lovingly stand for Divine principles. We should love our enemies, but we should only commit to truth.

God initiated Human Government after The Flood. We should obey lawful human authority, but when the rule of man opposes God's rule in our life, we should obey God rather than man.

Being a Christian is a personal relationship with God, it is not dedication to a political party or platform, or any human leader, whether religious or political.

Alignment with God and His word makes believers into aliens in this world. We will be hated by all men. All who live godly will be despised, rejected, maligned and persecuted.

Choose your path carefully. Always live with eternity in view.

07/12/25 FILL IN...

07/12/25 FILL IN...

(FILL IN THE MISSING WORDS.)

Jesus said, in John 14:15
"If you love me, ---- -- ------------." (see also 14:23 KJV)
or (considering text variations)
"If you love me, you will ---- -- ------------." (NASB)

(In either case, loving Jesus results in the same action.)

Notice, it does not say, "you ought to ...," or "you should try to ...," or "you will not ..."

07/09/25 more than knowing

07/09/25 MORE THAN KNOWING

Having a right understanding about God is not simply knowing what is written in the Bible (though that is basic and essential), it involves understanding His nature, His word and His works. It is spiritual, not simply intellectual.

07/03/25 DO NOT LET POLITICS

07/03/25 DO NOT LET POLITICS

do not... Do Not... DO NOT let politics, academics, economy, culture, media, AI, popular (but charlatan) teachers and preachers, charismatic, "successful" powerful leaders guide your morals, values, beliefs, actions, votes, alliances, principles, priorities.

There should only be one Master of your beliefs and behavior. Jesus is either Lord of all or He is not Lord at all.

People, Parties, Politicians change, but Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.

07/02/25 DO NOT TURN TO AI...

07/02/25 DO NOT TRUST AI...

DO NOT TRUST AI AS A RELIABLE SOURCE (OR RESOURCE)
FOR CHRISTIAN TEACHING OR SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP.
DECEPTION COMES THROUGH VARIOUS CHANNELS.

Sometimes people parrot back canned answers when I ask them questions about their beliefs. If I don't know where they came up with such misinformation I try to discover the source. My research may include "asking" AI some questions.

Most of the AI in use today is somewhat primitive. It searches the internet or whatever information sources available and regurgitates recorded data. I have to pay close attention to the words and the way AI responds, since it is able to mislead a person and redirect the "discussion." AI depends on programming and algorithms associated with the subject, which mixes facts with misinformation. As AI is developed, it will replace facts and truth with digitally founded answers. There will be no need to confuse people with the facts.

Though I know the Bible contains and asserts a specific truth, I may ask AI if that truth is in the Bible. Even if AI responds to my question with a correct answer, it may (probably will) add collateral information, whether accurate or erroneous, based on algorithms aligned with... "popular" beliefs or views, "what some people say," or, according to "experts" or "scholars." AI's response comes across as authoritative and immutable. AI includes extraneous information as if it is the Biblical answer and may not concede to facts and truth easily, without my persistency.

For instance, if I ask AI if the Bible asserts that God actually purifies the heart of a believer, AI may accurately respond with, "yes" and give Biblical verses as proof, but then AI may proceed to explain that it is not attainable in this life, but rather a goal we should strive for. If I indicate that I only want the Biblical answer, AI may repeat its unBiblical response. If I insist on a strictly Biblical answer, AI may eventually concede that my premise is right.

However, my inquiry with AI is a more fact-oriented discussion than I usually have with cultists or Christians who have been deceived by false doctrines. Those people will not admit to actual Biblical truth, regardless of how much Biblical evidence there is.

This is why people should not be getting Biblical understanding strictly or primarily, "second hand." Deception comes from demons, false teachers, and soulless computers.

Yes, we need accurate, honest expert input concerning Biblical teaching. But we must know what the Bible actually says, rather than what men say the Bible says.

Nothing takes the place of a personal relationship with God, a knowledge of His word, and walking in His Spirit.

07/01/25 GEMINI07/01/25 GEMINI

07/01/25 GEMINI
While waiting for Martha at the store today, I had interesting interaction with Gemini.

DLG... "Who wrote the Quran?"

Gemini "No one wrote the Quran. Muslims believe it was inspired by god and revealed to Mohammad."

DLG... "Therefore, Mohammad wrote it, correct?"

Gem... "No, that is not correct, ... no man wrote the Quran. It was inspired by 'god,' and revealed to Mohammad, but it was not written by any man.

DLG... Gemini went on to tell me that the Bible was written by fallible men; that the Bible is not inspired, however the Quran is inspired and not written by any man.

I persisted but Gemini would not abandon either of "his" errant assertions.

I reminded Gemeni that the Bible claims all Biblical Scripture is inspired by God and written by holy men (prophets). I continued to ask for Bible documentation whenever Gemini spouted it's canned and erroneous answers.

Finally, Gemini agreed to the fact that the Bible claims Divine inspiration, though it is written by men chosen by God.

I pointed out that inspiration and writing are not the same and said that the Quran must have a human writer.

Gemini eventually changed "his" position and said that there were human writers for the Quran.

I was almost convinced that Gemini was going to stick with the Muslim absurdity, but persistent Biblical evidence finally prevailed.

Too bad that false teachers are more resistant to Biblical facts and truth than digital Artificial Intelligence.

07/01/2507/01/25 TRANSFORMATION FOR THE WHOLE MAN

07/01/25 TRANSFORMATION FOR THE WHOLE MAN

Have you ever heard anyone report about a personal event or experience, or victory, which moved them emotionally and actually transformed their life dramatically?

Have you ever read of someone overcoming a monster challenge, whether medical, behavioral, relational, social, legal, addictive or inner struggles, which inspired you by their joy, freedom, love, excitement, success and sense of deliverance?

This is what Christ and His salvation adds to our lives. Sadly, there are very few who show the joy, power, peace, love, excitement, confidence, singlemindedness of Christian conversion.

It is not because of our personality type or because regeneration and reconciliation are different for different people. Though we are all different in temperament, salvation from sin and personal relationship with God is transformative. Nothing should deaden or weaken the presence or the manifestation of
God in our lives.

Whatever reduces spiritual excitement, fervor, enthusiasm (Greek for, "God within") should be aligned with, and subjected to Biblical truth. Sometimes people allow "Facts" to replace faith.

God's being (His existing) and God's presence in our life produces excitement, fervor. Divine fervor must be manifested in line with God's word. The absence of enthusiasm excitement, fervor, exuberance, is not in keeping with normal human behavior or consistent with Biblical revelation.

In the 1600s, "enthusiasm" was used by Puritans as a derogatory term for people who showed external expressions for internal emotions. Sometimes people allow "Feelings" to replace faith.

Faith and facts and feelings are parts of the salvation truth and experience.

We are body, soul and spirit.
Our inner man is where reason, desire, emotion, conscience and will reside.
To exaggerate any part of the human experience is to choose an unbalanced life.

Those that are more into the "heady" part of salvation often neglect or suppress the emotional.
Those who are emotionally oriented tend to underrate the more factual and theological issues.
Fact, feeling and faith are all part of the human reality.

We must give all control to God, but we should never lose self-control. Self-control is the fruit of the Spirit. We should surrender completely to God, but total surrender to God never includes blindly giving into thoughts or feelings. We are to bring every thought captive to Christ, and we are to love God with our whole heart, mind, soul and strength. Even in total surrender, the prophet's spirit is subject to the prophet.

Some folks need to be better informed and more deeply enlightened.
Some folks need to enter into deeper spiritual awareness and expression.

We need to know the truth. In knowing the truth, we will be set free from emotional and social and personal inhibitions and pride. Total worship is inward and outward. True worship glorifies God and edifies believers. True worship is both private and corporate. True worship is worshiping in joy, love, faith, hope praise, song, testimony.
