08/30/25 COMING DISTRACTIONS

08/30/25 COMING DISTRACTIONS

Coming soon to a congregation near you.

Beware!
Blasphemers,
Wolves in Sheep's Clothing,
Sheep Stealers,
Church Wreckers,
Family Destroyers.

Acts 20:28-30 KJV
28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

Jude 1:12-13 KJV
12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

08/29/25 GET YOUR CHECKUP

08/29/25 GET YOUR CHECKUP

Those who "walk in the Spirit rather than in the flesh" (those who "walk in the light, as He [Christ] is in the light," those who "walk in His [Christ's] steps") are sensitive and obedient to the Holy Spirit's leading, bringing "every thought captive to the obedience of Christ," "keeping His commandments and doing that which is pleasing in His sight."

This requires active faith, abiding love, constantly casting our cares upon Him. If we falter in our love, faith, submission, we will falter and "fail of (fall short of or lack) the grace of God." This requires us to trust, repent (turn) and obediently follow by faith.

Those who choose not to follow fully will either drift away from God slowly or they will take overt steps into obvious sin. They may eventually hear the voice of God calling them back to repentance. However, the shroud of sin can blind the mind and harden the heart so quickly and silently that the backsliding person does not even realize he has failed and fallen from salvation into an empty form or likeness of godliness, which denies the power to deliver from sin.

It can be the allure of treasures and pleasures or the intimidation of oppression that moves a person from God. THIS IS WHY it is important for people to TAKE TIME TO BE HOLY, TO DRAW NEAR TO GOD, TO SEEK THE LORD. Open His word and open your heart. Call upon Him while He is near. Sincerely pray, "SEARCH MY HEART, TRY MY THOUGHTS, SEE IF THERE BE ANY WICKED WAY IN MY, AND LEAD ME IN THE TRUTH."

God will show you how you have neglected Him and rejected Him. He will show you how you have allowed your time, your reason, your desires, your emotions, your conscience, your will and your allegiance to turn from Christ. Moving away from God may be related to your work, your alliances, your associations, your recreations, your pressures, your weaknesses, your opportunities or your obligations. But whatever the reason for your distancing yourself from God, there is a way back to Him and a right relationship with Him. Be sure to seek, find and follow God's directions for reconciliation and restoration. It will require a turning from something in order to turn to Jesus, or as Hebrews 12:2 tells us in the Greek, we need to turn our eyes from something and fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Jesus is the beginning of our faith, the way of faith and the perfecter (completer) of our faith. We are saved by faith, we walk (live) by faith, we overcome, and we are triumphant through faith. Without active faith it is impossible to please God. (By the way, what the Bible says about "pleasing" God is another worthy subject to study).

Don't allow the voice of God to become faint, distant, ignored, muted. God loves you enough that He will draw you to Himself, or if you have been intentionally rejecting Him, He will take steps to drive you to Himself. In both cases, it is God loving you. But God never forces our faith and love. It is our own responsibility.

God enables us to either accept or reject His call.
Isaiah 55:6-7
6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Do not deny Him and do not delay in turning to Him. Hardening the heart can lead to a ruin, which cannot be remedied.

08/28/25 ARE YOU ENGAGING THE ENEMY?

08/28/25 ARE YOU ENGAGING THE ENEMY?

There is a spiritual warfare taking place (not flesh and blood),
Ephesians 6:12
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Very few are actually fighting the good fight. Most Christians think that it is a make-believe war, a religious debate or just a tempest in a teapot, or as Shakespeare said, "Much ado about nothing."

There are few warriors, few champions of the faith, few volunteers who are ready to charge the Gates of Hell. Folks don't take the works of darkness seriously.

Nonchalance is raised against the enemy of our souls, exposing entire societies to demonic destruction. In the eyes of most professing Christians today, sin is not sinful, Satan is not the destroyer, holiness is not livable, perversion is not filthy.

"Christian" people sacrifice their children on the altar of Molech, trade their morals for feel good religion, deny Christ and embrace evil society. Of course, we should not be surprised that parents do not stand against the violators of the children; after all, the parents sold their own spiritual blessings for a pot of beans.

The Bible is the Sword of the Spirit, but most Christians treat it as an ancient reminder of fairy tales and superstition. All the while, the dark knight rides unhindered through our family, killing, raping, violating whoever he chooses.

Do you serve this demonic world or do you charge the Gates of Hell, ready to die for the King of kings.

08/27/25 BEING LOYAL

08/27/25 BEING LOYAL

Where is your loyalty? Specifically, unlimited loyalty, absolute loyalty, unrestrained loyalty, unwavering loyalty.
It is either given to God and His word, or it is given somewhere or anywhere else.

There are varying degrees or forms of loyalty, which belong to family, friends, country, community, associates, associations. But the only worthy focus of our complete loyalty is the God of the Bible.

You cannot be a Christian if your basic and ultimate loyalty is not given to Jesus Christ. Any other object of full commitment is an idol. Some of the idols of nominal Christians (Christian in name only) are family members, finances, political affiliations, vain philosophies, personal pleasures, social status, material wealth, physical health, the natural realm, errant religious beliefs and life itself. Some people have idols of stone, wood, steel, flesh and blood, ideology, relationships. The Bible tells us if we love the world or the things of the word, then the love of the Father is not in us and it also says that greed is idolatry.

Only Jesus is worthy of our total, uncompromising commitment. Every other loyalty must come into alignment with Biblical truth and faithfulness to Jesus Christ.

Some people give God divided loyalty or lip service when life is easy and some people abandon God altogether when life is oppressive, and some people have no idea that absolute surrender is the norm for salvation because they accept a form of godliness, which denies the power of God within the life of the person.

Absolute loyalty to Christ is always important, but being fully committed to God and His truth in the good times prepares us to fully follow during the hard times. God's word enlightens our minds and enlivens our spirit, so that we are enabled live in undivided submission to God. We must renounce the obvious deceptions of Satan and the hidden dangers of popular religious beliefs (even when they are dressed in Christian terms and traditions.

"BACK TO THE BIBLE" is not simply a Christian catchphrase, it is a call to godly behavior based on Biblical belief. It is too late to start yesterday, but it is not too late to start now. Hebrews 12:2 (KJV) tells us we should "look" to Jesus. A better translation is to FIX OUR EYES on Jesus, and a better understanding of the verse is to TURN OUR EYES AWAY FROM (something) and to FIX OUR EYES ON JESUS. It is a transfixing of our attention, our loyalty from darkness to Light, from death to Life, from deception to Lord. Christ is our Way, not simply our beginning and end. We are called to a walk, not an abandoned relationship.

God will never leave those who continue in the faith, those who continue in the Lord, continue in the grace of God. The days ahead are going to be deceptive to those who do not have the mind of Christ (the lost, the sinner) and to those who are double minded (carnal, fleshly oriented). God will draw near to those who draw near to Him.

The song says to Christians, "Rise up oh men of God..."
God's word says Christians, "Present your bodies as a living sacrifice unto God... entirely acceptable to God... be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the continual renewing of your mind."

08/26/25 YOUR CHOICE

08/26/25 YOUR CHOICE

Would you be excited or disappointed if players on your favorite ball team, or musicians in your favorite music group, or workers in your company, or politicians in your government, or medical personnel treating your loved ones, or soldiers and law enforcement protecting your country, performed at the same level, with which you serve God and your local church?

Should anyone serve any position in any station of life with more commitment, ability and excitement than a true believer serves Christ and His church?

"What kind of church would my church be,
If all of the members were just like me?"

08/26/25 SUCCESSFULL AND UNSUCCESSFULL TRAITS

08/2/25 SUCCESSFULL AND UNSUCCESSFULL TRAITS

I saw an interesting poster, which listed behavioral traits of Successful people and Unsuccessful people. Though an actual list is much longer, I give you my version of a short list. Some folks would do well if they would at least take a quick glance at this list. I hope it will be encouraging. Some of these positive traits are admirable qualities found in many people, but they reach their zenith when they are manifested in a Christian life. The negative traits related to varying degrees of spiritual emptiness. A Christian will realize the areas of his life that need changing and will eagerly seek deliverance from the negative and application of the positive. It requires both a deliverance from God and a commitment to personal faithfulness to God's word.

Here is a partial list of traits to consider.

08/25/25 DIVINE CHANGE

08/25/25 DIVINE CHANGE

Salvation is not simply Informing or Reforming the Spiritually Deformed.

Salvation is the miraculous, Divine work of Transforming sinners to saints (as stated in the New Testament), and Conforming those believers to the image of Jesus.

God provides (the way, the opportunity, the salvation), we decide (to believe, confess, repent, follow, or not to).

08/25/25 GREAT TRUTH

08/25/25 GREAT TRUTH

Someone posted this.
"If you die, before you die,
When you die, you won't die."

This is another way of saying,
"Born once, die twice.
Born twice, die once.

08/24/25 JESUS NEVER FAILS

08/24/25 JESUS NEVER FAILS

I was asking Martha how many times in her life has she ever heard someone actually say, "God did not do His part." We both agreed that we have heard many excuses for sin, but couldn't remember anyone actually saying the words, "God did not do His part." I have heard people blame God and rant against God, but I couldn't remember anyone actually saying, "God did not do His part."

Remember, Martha has been in church since before she could walk and has been an active Christian worker for over 55 years. I was saved and called to the ministry when I was three. I have been in active ministry since 1965 and pastoral ministry since 1969. I have witnessed to, and confronted, druggies, gang members, street thugs, atheists, university professors, and infidels of every kind, but I cannot remember the words, "God did not do His part," ever being uttered through all those years.

I am not saying that no one has ever said, "God did not do His part." There may be millions of people who will say it today. However, it is such a mindless excuse for sin and such a faulty accusation against God that the phrase is very rare.

Biblical truth, Christian faith, as found in the Bible (which I refer to as "Theology" [Biblical Theology]), is an exact science (study). Many different "...ologies" exist, but "Theology" was considered the Queen of Sciences, since it was an exact and premier science. If God's word (the Holy Bible) says "it," then "it" is true. There may be a misunderstanding of what God said or meant, but if it is clearly revealed in the Bible, then it is irrefutable, and only a fool will contradict God.

Many fields of study have error, which may be corrected with new discoveries or developments, but Biblical truth is unchanging. If a person applies Biblical truth to a situation, then a given consequence is going to take place. Medicine is a highly respected science, but there are gaps and variables in medical science which allow for failures. However, as long as the revealed truth of salvation is received and believed, then salvation will take place. This is because God does what God said He would do. God cannot lie, God cannot sin, and God cannot fail. If a person refuses to believe, confess, repent, surrender to God, then that person will not be saved. This is a promise of God. If a person does seek God and follow God by faith, then that person will be saved from sin. This is also a promise of God.

God always does what He promised to do. Whenever there is failure in the realm of salvation it is because the sinner did not trust and obey God. The Bible is filled with this salvific truth. You never need to wonder if God will save you from sin. He will save those who believe Him. If we believe Him, we will trust Him and He will enable and empower us to do what He commands.

God is not a puppet master, or a prestidigitator, or a pretender or a pied Piper who leads people astray. Whosever will call on the name of the Lord, through faith, shall be saved from their sins. God does not only save the repentant sinner from the punishment for sin, but He saves them (as they actively and deliberately follow Him in faith) from the practice, the power and the pollution of sin. God and His word never fail; heaven and earth will pass away, but Jesus never fails.

08/20/25 A WHOLE DELIVERANCE FOR THE WHOLE MAN

08/20/25 A WHOLE DELIVERANCE FOR THE WHOLE MAN

Is there an area of your life, with which you do not need Biblical directives, Christian leadership, spiritual counsel?

The fact is that salvation is a WHOLE person reality. Salvation and a right relationship with God include every area of our life, such as finances, health, vocation, recreation, associations, relationships, entertainments, commitments, desires, fears, academics, economics, social, political, private, public and of course, spiritual.

Even if a person knows all of the basic factors necessary for success, there is always the need for Divine enlightenment. This is where Biblical counsel comes into the process of life, especially Christian life. Remember, salvation is a whole work of God for the whole life. We are told to present our body as a living sacrifice to God. We are told to walk (live) our lives in the light of God's word and walk in the power of God's Spirit. We are told to obey God in everything and to do that which is pleasing in His sight. We are told to cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit. We are told to walk in His steps. We are told to be of one mind with God and fellow believers. Salvation is a whole work for the whole person.

Though all of the temporal and natural factors are evident, there is the hidden dangers and opportunities that only God knows. Though a person has an understanding of the external conditions surrounding a decision, they may not have insight to their own personal condition, or they may be too close to a situation to make a wise decision. Counsel from a mature, knowledgeable, wise, Bible believing Christian is essential.

Even if the counseling does not provide new or different information, it is better to have our plans confirmed with Divine insights. Counseling is a major part of Biblical and Christian living, in spite of the fact that few people actually seek it. Refusal to obey God's directives does not negate our accountability to seek and obey God's plan.

08/15/25 ACTUAL CIVIL WAR

08/15/25 ACTUAL CIVIL WAR

America is being deliberately moved toward an ACTUAL CIVIL WAR. The so-called called Civ** W** Of the past was in reality the w** between the States. There was no Constitutional law against session. Whatever else you want to say about that terrible period of time, it was not C**** W**.

However, the left is calling for violence between Americans of various races, cultures, political views, and often verbally tagged as conservative or white or Christian, or erroneously and intentionally identified with, slavery, Confederacy, Southerners, white supremacists, uneducated, traitors, seditionists, threats to democracy). Today's Socialist and Communist wolves are determined to rewrite history, destroy cultures, standards, records, monuments and PEOPLE who disagree with their political and moral and religious beliefs. They can't win with facts; therefore, they depend on force.

Be Biblical, as a Christian. Let God execute justice indirectly by Human Government or by direct intervention of Divine judgement.

Don't be lured into a war of the flesh. Be a soldier of the cross, defeating evil with the armor of God, wielding the Sword of the Spirit (The Holy Bible).

08/14/25 ALIGN WITH GOD'S DESIGN

08/14/25 ALIGN WITH GOD'S DESIGN

Local church ministries should be the most cohesive, focused, compassionate, excited, talented, self-denying, dynamic, moral, authentic group of people in the community.

08/14/25 LIVE AS A PART OF GOD'S PEOPLE, NOT APART FROM GOD'S PEOPLE

08/14/25 LIVE AS A PART OF GOD'S PEOPLE, NOT APART FROM GOD'S PEOPLE

Systems are made up of parts, whether it is mechanical, the human body, electronic, philosophical, organizational, or cosmological.

When a part breaks down, the system may fail. If a vital part or enough of the parts break down, the system will fail to function as it should.

Life is more than a formula, more than an organization, more than a system, but God has designed parts to work together, whether natural life or relationships or spiritual interaction.

We cannot make the various parts of life (human organs, corporate cogs, team members, personal relationships) function as they should, but we can make certain (as far as it is humanly possible) that we personally, as a part of a system, being and doing that which God requires of us.

Even when there are missing parts or broken parts, a system may continue to function to a certain level. But a system that is working at full strength and capacity can accomplish much more than a system that is only hobbling along.

God designed man to be part of relationships, specifically a living, productive relationship with God, with family, with community and redemptively with His body, the Church. Until we are the parts of God's plan that we should be we will never know the fulfillment He has intended for us to know.

God not only planned the relationships of family and church, but He has also provided the supplies and support necessary to reach and sustain our fitness for service. God has given us His Spirit, His word and His anointed ministry to build, equip, empower, direct and maintain each part for utmost unity and productivity. The Bible says that God is the Giver of every good and perfect gift, and He has given us everything that pertains to life and godliness and it also says it is the Father's good pleasure to give us the kingdom.

Don't allow Darkness to blind you to your high and holy calling. Don't focus on the minors of life while the majors are being lost.
Be a part, don't be apart.

Ephesians 4:1-7
1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
3 Endeavouring to keep (dlg note... better tranlsation is, "being diligent to keep" or "diligently keeping") the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
We have what we need to do the will of God. It is our responsibility to follow God's will.

08/12/25 SALVATION IS REALITY, NOT ILLUSION OR DELUSION

08/12/25 SALVATION IS REALITY, NOT ILLUSION OR DELUSION

I unashamedly tell you upfront, Jesus is the only deliverer from sin and sinning.

Any "Jesus" or "Christianity" or "Gospel of Grace" or "Salvation" that does not save from all sin, in this present evil world, is a false hope.

God is neither a puppet master or prestidigitator or pretender or pied piper.
When God saves from sin, He actually saves from sin, by giving His cleansing and power to those who believe His word and call on Him by faith in Christ.

1. Salvation begins transformation through justification and regeneration of sinners by faith Christ.
2. This work of grace is followed by the purification of the believer's heart when he trusts God to deliver him from the carnal (or fleshly mind, a.k.a. the Old Man, the body of this death, the law of sin and death, which purification of the heart comes with the infilling and the fulness of the Holy Spirit).
3. Glorification is the final part of God's deliverance. This is when the believer receives His Resurrection Body, either in the rapture or when Christ shall raise deceased believers from among the dead.

God has worked in phases throughout history, and He manifests His salvation through phases.
This is called the First Resurrection (which has three phases:
1- "The First Fruits," which happened when Christ arose from the dead and raised the Old Testament believers along with Christ followers who had died during the earthly ministry of Christ.
2- "The Harvest," which will happen when Christ raises those who have trusted and followed Him since the time of His resurrection, along with the believers who are alive at the time when Christ begins His return to earth.
3- "The Gleanings," which will be the resurrection of those believers who will trust Christ during the Tribulation, as well as those who will trust Christ but will suffer physical death during the Millennial Earthly reign of Christ, and before the consummation, (when Christ sets up His eternal kingdom), after the final destruction of this present evil world, and after the final judgment a.k.a. the Great White Throne Judgment.

Some people miss justification and regeneration because they have never heard the gospel or because they have never repented.
Some believers miss the purifying infilling and fulness of the Holy Spirit because they never heard the whole gospel or because they fail (fall short) of the grace of God.
And some will miss the final resurrection and glorification of believers because they did not remain faithful, they did not continue steadfastly in grace, in the faith, in Jesus, in the love of God, they did not finish the course, they did not endure to the end.

We can experience and enjoy all of God's salvation, from beginning to end, if we believe His word and trust Him to do what He said He would do.

He promised that if we believe on Him, we shall be saved.
He promised that if we ask, seek, knock, for purity of heart, He will give us purity of Heart.
He promised that if we follow Him, He will give us eternal life.

08/12/25 SAVED, NOT JUST IMPROVED

08/12/25 SAVED, NOT JUST IMPROVED

Some folks will read this next statement but then forget that I said it as they read the rest of my post.

WE ARE SAVED BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH, WE ARE NOT SAVED BY OUR OWN ENDEAVORS, WORKS, GOODNESS.

That being said, God saves us so that we will be made holy, righteous, pure. God's salvation makes us faithful, obedient.

Don't fall for Satan's lie that it impossible to obey God.
A "salvation" that does not save from sin is not actual salvation.
A "salvation" that does not deliver from the gutter-most to the uttermost is not Biblical salvation.
A "salvation" that does not transform us from darkness to light is not Spirit filled salvation.
A "salvation" that does not conform us to the image of Jesus is not Christ's salvation.
A "salvation" that does not make us holy, righteous and pure is not full salvation.

It is evil to boast in our self-righteousness.
It is also evil to boast in our sins and sinful condition.

I have nothing to boast about except the cross of Christ.
But I am not boasting in the cross of Christ if I am denying His salvation from sin and sinning.

When I walk in victory, when I am more than a conqueror, when I overcome the world and the flesh and the devil, I am able to boast in the One who always causes me to triumph.

As actual believers in Christ we do not do good works, or obey God, and or live righteously in order to be saved, but rather we do good works, obey God and live righteously because we are partakers of Divine nature and we are doing that which comes natural to the supernatural life that God has given us.

The tree produces its own fruit. If we are saved, we produce good fruit, because we are new creations, we are created in Christ Jesus, we are born of His Spirit. A fountain gives forth water that is consistent with it own nature. Christians are partakers of Divine nature, and we give sweet water rather than bitter water.

The Christian life is not us being the best we can be, it is Christ in us, the hope of glory. Though we are in human flesh, we are not in the flesh (in the mind of the flesh, in the carnal mind), we are no longer conformed to this world, but we are transformed by the renewing of our minds and conformed to the image of God's Son.

* Without Christ we are humans
with a carnal mind (an inherently evil disposition).
* As a regenerated believer, we are humans, with the carnal mind we were born with and also the mind of Christ, which we received when we were born of the Spirit.
* As a Spirit filled believers, we are humans, purified from all sin and made pure, even as Christ is pure by the infilling and fulness of the Holy Spirit.

* Even as regenerated believers, who have not yet had our hearts purified by the fulness of the Holy Spirit, we are enabled to walk in obedience and in a way that is pleasing in God's sight. He that is born of God does not commit sin.
* As Spirit filled believers we are delivered from the Double mind.
*As Spirit filled believers, we are still human with human frailties and weaknesses, but we are led and empowered by the Holy Spirit to walk in His light.
* As Spirit filled believes we do not have the internal conflict with the Old Man, since it is crucified with Christ and we are dead to sin (the sin nature), but we still stand against, resist and overcome outward temptations, tests and trials.

Believers are enabled to trust, follow, obey God, even the newest believer, because it is Christ in us that gives us the victory, causes us to always triumph in Christ, keep His commandments and do that which is pleasing in His sight.

It is not always easy, but the victory is always for those who live by faith, walk in faith, stand by faith, wield the shield of faith, the sword of the Spirit, conquering in the name of Jesus.

It is possible to fail, but through faith in Christ it is possible to overcome and continue in the faith, continue in His grace, continue in Christ, continue in His love, to be more than a conqueror.

God has promised the crown of life to those who endure temptation, endure to the end. Those are the people who love Him. Jesus said if we love Him we will keep His commandments. Love is the fulfilling of the law. God not only instills us with love, He imparts His perfect love to us.

James 1:2-8 and vs.12
2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

08/09/25 WHAT YUO WANT IS WHAT YOU HAVE

08/09/25 WHAT YUO WANT IS WHAT YOU HAVE

"You have as much of God as you want,
That's why you have as little of Him as you do."

08/07/25 DIVINE RULE GREATER THAN HUMAN RULE

08/07/25 DIVINE RULE GREATER THAN HUMAN RULE

* The Church and the State are not the same, though they are both answerable to God and have specific functions and directives from God.
* God gives responsibilities to the Church, which differ from the responsibilities He gives to the State (the Government).
* God's moral standards are applicable to all people, whether they are the redeemed who are His Church, or the unsaved who are serving in the State.
* There are Divine standards by which the State should operate.
* The State is under the rule of God and answerable for its actions.

God instituted Human Government for the purpose of protecting the righteous and punishing the wicked. Human Government has authority to wield the "sword" to protect its people from evil men and nations. Human Government, as a Divine institution, is responsible to protect the righteous and the law abiding, and is also responsible to punish the wicked, that is, the evil doers. Human Government has the right to execute judgment (according to Divine standards), even if it means taking the life of an incorrigible offender or oppressor.

God gives moral standards, which He requires of all men (the redeemed and the unredeemed, the individual and institutions). All men are answerable for their disobedience to God's commands.

Romans 13:1-7
1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.
When the State requires anything from its citizens, which requires a person to disobey God, then the individual is not obligated to obey such a law. It is better to obey God rather than man.

The mixing of Human Government with the Lordship of Christ over His Church has had catastrophic results, such as a religio-political organization (Roman Catholicism, and the assumed Divine Right of Kings [observed by Reformation churches as well as the Roman religion]), and the Catholic and Protestant concept of the Church taking up arms in a so-called "just war" against other people. Remember, Chrisian violence was contrary to New Testament revelation, and early Christians did not take up arms against other people until the pagan influence of Constantin, the Emperor of Rome, who misled the Roman Christians in the first part of the fourth century. Sadly, the Protestant Reformers clung to the un-Biblical idea of Christian violence, and we are saddled with that heresy until the present day.

Remember, the New Testament does not command, condone or commend "Christian violence." However, the New Testament does condemn "Christian violence." "Christian violence" is a human corruption of New Testament teaching.

This has always been important, but in these last days it is essential to know what the Bible says about Christians and violence and also to live by what the Bible says.

08/05/25 HONEST DESIRE, ACCURATE ANSWERS

08/05/25 HONEST DESIRE, ACCURATE ANSWERS

It is prudent to seek expert (informed, responsible, skilled, trained, legitimate) people to provide special and specialized services (including doctors, lawyers, electricians, nutritionist, fitness trainers, mechanics, pilots, HVAC repairmen, computer technicians, sports coaches, music teachers, dietitians, "educators").

It can be detrimental and even dangerous to trust unqualified people with important responsibilities (whether they are licensed or not).

Yet most people neglect prudent care of their souls. They trust Humanistic Bible rejecting scholars, or celebrities from music, theatrics, athletics, politics, and even their own uninformed, confused self, rather than seek help from Bible believing, Christ converted, Spirit led godly people. People readily accept the errors that skeptics, agnostics, atheists and other fools peddle off as godly enlightenment.

If this level of discernment and discretion was prominent in other vital areas of life, there would be no civilization on the face of the planet.

It appears that everyone is an expert concerning Biblical revelation, linguistics, ancient culture, world history, theology. It seems that no one needs instruction from Bible informed, spiritually enlightened, regenerated, Spirit called and anointed and gifted godly followers of Christ.

As a result, society is moving further and faster away from Divine truth. Most people are more interested in having someone prepare their coffee than prepare their soul for eternity. They boast more about their hairdresser or their barber than they do the shepherd of their souls. They spend much more time viewing and studying the latest gossip, events, trends online, than they do seeking spiritual counsel, studying Biblical revelation, following pastoral instruction.

The further society moves from humble submission to Biblical truth, the less desire society has for Divine revelation.

08/03/25 TWO OF MY REASONS

08/03/25 TWO OF MY REASONS

Only two of many reasons I am not Calvinistic or Reformed.

1 I recognize the terrible sinfulness of sin.
(Sin not only ruins our lives, but it also separates us from God.)

2 I realize the greatness of the grace of God.
(God's grace not only reconciles every repentant sinner to God, but it also rescues us from the penalty, the power and the pollution of sin. God's grace not only transforms us from rebel to reconciled child of God, but it conforms us to the image of God's Son.)

08/02/25 PERFECT IN THE NEW TESTAMENT

08/02/25 PERFECT IN THE NEW TESTAMENT

THIS LITTLE ARTICLE (STUDY) MIGHT BE WORTH YOUR TIME AND ATTENTION.
The passages cover a wide range of issues related to the perfections available to Christians through the salvation of Christ. I hope you will take time to read them. The passages in the Epistles address Christian living principles and are very enlightening.

The word, "Perfect" is used in everyday conversation and Biblical revelation.

The meaning and application of the word differs from situation to situation, but using these words (perfect, perfectly, perfected, perfecting, perfection) in the right setting is perfectly acceptable.

"Perfect" (and its cognates) does not always refer to "Absolute Perfection." In fact, it is used more often in reference to a specific perfection, such as, a perfect game, perfect timing, perfect match, perfect location, perfect job. In these uses people understand that certain criteria are being referred to as perfect.

There is a perfection which God calls believers to have in this present life, and God enables believers to experience that perfection. For instance, Jesus directed believers to be perfect (in love), even as our heavenly Father is perfect. It is a perfection that is not inherent to the human condition, but it is derived from God. It is a perfection in quality (according to our spiritual capacity) rather than quantity (God's immense capacity). This is illustrated as a glass of water dipped from an enormous reservoir is of the same quality, but not the same quantity as the pond, spring, lake or ocean.

"Perfect" (and its cognates or derivates) are several words used to translate the several Greek words into English. Some of the other words are better choices for certain passages, while "perfect "(not absolute perfection) is a better translation in some of those passages.

Nothing requires that the word, "perfect" should be understood as "absolute perfection." God chose the words in the original languages, and linguists and translators have chosen the word, "perfect" as a correct representation of the original languages. Also, in English the word perfect has been used and is presently understood in normal conversations. It only becomes a problem when people want to erroneously use the word contrary to God's use of the word in the Bible.

It is not surprising that people parrot the false arguments against God's provision of a spiritual perfection. Very few preachers and teachers are leading their people into Biblical perfection and very few people want God to totally change them, or their lives.

These passages are taken from New Testament of the King James Version of the Bible, but other English translations differ very little. I have chosen verses which apply strictly to Christian living and to the perfecting grace of God as it is provided in the salvation of Christ.

I will give a brief line of introduction, then the passage. I refer to forty-nine separate passages, which use the word perfect in relationship to the salvation provided by Christ. To blanketly disallow the word, "perfect" in relationship to the Christian experience is to deny the original revelation of God and the faithful translations which use this word.

08/01/25 BEWARE THE SHAMERS

08/01/25 BEWARE THE SHAMERS

Don't let anyone shame you to death.

In other words, don't let someone coerce you (through personal views or even human authority) into doing something that is detrimental to your life (physical life, spiritual life), your life's relationships (family, friend, foes), your life's calling. Always remember that the only ultimate authority, final authority, absolute authority to be totally submitted to is God and His word (the Holy Bible).

Let me give you an example of bullying (which sometimes erroneously claims to be supported by a Christian viewpoint).

Some people try to make other people feel guilty for making a decision concerning personal response to the C-Vid problem. They claim to have the only right answer (medically and spiritually) to the problem, and they try to shame people who chose a different response than they chose.

Consider these facts.
Some people died after taking the "jab."
Some people died after not taking the "jab."
Some people lived after not taking the "jab."
Some people lived after taking the "jab."

Some people have loved ones who died after taking the "jab," and some people have loved ones who died after not taking the "jab."

Maybe some people did die or suffer physical problems because they did get the "jab."
Maybe some people did die or suffer physical problems because they did not get the "jab."
In either case, it is less than accurate (maybe less than truthful) to shame people for the decision they made. Even if there is irrefutable evidence to support the efficacy or the danger of the "jab," (which there is not), I often see an arrogance and a condemning attitude leveled against people who did not make the same choice as the person making the judgment.

Medicine, for the most part, is not an exact science. At its best, medical science is flawed and limited.

Biblical truth is exact. There are differing views of Biblical truth, but Biblical truth is exact. In fact, Theology as a science (study) is the Queen of Sciences because it is based on exact, accurate and timeless truth.

God has a right to shame, convict of sin, place guilt and the feeling of guilt on people, as it is revealed in His word. God and His truth is absolute, though human interpretations and applications may be flawed or skewed. Godly shame can lead to godly repentance, which leads to God and to godliness. Everyone should be sensitive to the truth of God, which condemns us of sin and leads us to repentance. Following God's revealed truth will result in life changes, which are not always pleasant, and we should be willing to accept and follow God's enlightenment. However, we should not become slaves of other people's opinions or beliefs.

We should seek truth in the various important issues of life, but we should not give anyone absolute trust or absolute authority in our lives. We should love others, even if they are overstepping their legitimate boundaries, but we should not be influenced when other people criticize us for doing what we understand Biblically to be pleasing to God.

Don't be one of those people who try to shame the dead and the living who did not deal with C-VID in the same way you did.

Biblical sin is one thing, personal viewpoints (regardless of how strongly you hold them) are different.

Don't be swayed by those who claim infallibility concerning scientific or medical "facts."

No matter how much a person's arrogant attacks are on folks who differ with them, we should love them. Be glad for those who survived the pandemic, be compassionate for those who suffered because of the pandemic.

And never forget, God has life and death under His control.
