I recently posted a couple of photos of our meeting location, which I call, "The Net House." (As fishers of men, we gather at The Net House). I realize that it may not seem like much of a meeting house to most folks. In fact, some folks do not even think we are an actual church, because we do not fit the image of a "real church," including the architecture, location, decor, pastoral image, preaching and teaching methods, ministry programs, organizational affiliations.

We have met in private homes, storefronts, Roman Catholic chapels, motel conference rooms, Public Libraries, campground meeting rooms and laundry rooms, secretly in borrowed church basements, camping trailers, public parks, open fields, a church bus, a tavern annex, a train station, tents, a city recreational building as well as really nice and conventional "church" facilities.

We have entertained Christians from other countries, who said that our church atmosphere was more like their churches back in their home countries, which were politically and legally opposed to the gospel message (such as Bulgaria, Russia and Iraq).

I have rented rooms and buildings (sometimes at a high cost), gathered in my home, met secretly and sometimes illegally. I have often wished for a place to meet, to teach, to preach to sing, to praise, to fellowship. Thanks to the vision of other people, we now have property and a facility that provides a warm and conducive setting for all of these, and other activities.

I don't have to get anyone's permission or pay exorbitant amounts or face the threat of being shut down or runaway because of government, disgruntled neighbors, antagonistic enemies of the cross, or nosy, busy bodies.

I can preach or teach or praise whenever I want, for as long as I want, as loudly as I want, whatever God wants. I can't lose my job. If folks don't like the message or the ministry, they can go wherever they want, and I won't chase them down. I care about folks, but I care more about God and pleasing God.

I was blessed to have a very functional and attractive "church" facility, but mostly blessed because of the wonderful believers, which I was allowed to serve as pastor. I have enjoyed the many other venues through the years, but I have always known that the church is not a building made with hands. The church is a local gathering of God's people. I am not afraid of a large congregation, and I am not afraid of a small congregation. What I strive for is a congregation that loves God with their whole heart, mind, soul and strength, and their neighbors as themselves.

I praise the Lord for in-person services and also for online ministry as well. I hope you are part of a local church ministry that would fit into any period of history, on any geographical part of the world. Because the church (and in this sense) the kingdom of God is not meat and drink (earthly and passing blessings), but righteousness, peace and joy.

I voted against Communism, Socialism, Woke-ism, and the Idiocracy of the previous Administration.

I voted for President Trump to deal with the issues that the Constitution allows government to address, and for the policies he promised during his candidacy.

I did not vote for him to install a FAITH OFFICE or to bring Christians into or under a State prescribed religion authority, or to be misrepresented by some government view of Biblical faith.

This is why a man-made rule will always fail. Only God can rule flawlessly and justly; only God can bring world peace and justice. We should pursue peace with all men and we should live justly, but we should never expect anyone to perfect this sinful world. I am not looking for the Revelation 6 "rider of the white horse." The false Christ will come, and we will see terrible things before he comes, but I expect to be gone (in the Rapture) when he comes.

I am looking for the Second Coming of Christ, which will be in phases. There will be the Resurrection of the
I. Phase Two of the First Resurrection.
The First Resurrection [the resurrection of the righteous] has three phases.
A. The First-fruits: Christ and a select group of Old Testament saints).
B. The Harvest: The dead in Christ at the end of the Church Age (followed instantly by the Rapture).
C. The Gleanings; The believers who die during after the Rapture and before the Great White Throne Judgment.

I was thinking about the directive for government workers to give a five-point report on what they did last week.
Some folks readily and easily responded.
Some folks hate President Trump so much they refused to do it.
Some folks know that they have been ripping off the U.S. taxpayers and they refused to answer.
Some folks (but not many) had acceptable reasons for not answering at that time or in that fashion.

When you get down to it, a short email response from employees to a legitimate question from the boss (the President of the USA), is reasonable. This is pretty much a normal idea in the real world of employment.

But let's not talk about earthly government. Let's talk about accountability from the work force of the kingdom of God. We know that there is coming a day of accountability before God.

Accountability for sin is taken care of through faith in Jesus Christ's sacrificial death on the cross for the sins of the world, and His physical resurrection from the dead. There is no salvation without His death and resurrection, but it is not only His death and resurrection that is necessary for our salvation. We must have a living faith in Christ as Savior and Lord.

His death does not save people who reject Him. Knowing about His death and resurrection does not save anyone. Saving faith in the sacrifice of Christ is essential to salvation. Calvary was Judgment Day for believers.

However, those who do not accept (believe, receive) the offer of salvation through Christ are personally answerable (accountable) for their own sins, and will be judged according to their actions, words and thoughts, at the Great White Throne Judgment.

Those who do trust in (which includes obedience to) Christ will also face a Judgment Day, but it is the Bema Seat of Christ, after the Rapture and before the Return of Christ. Believers will be judged for their works, to either receive or lose rewards. (I know you may have questions about this judgment, but it is not as mysterious as it sounds).

Therefore, we as believers should be living our lives in faithful subjection to Christ. Not only should we be doing that which He commands and that which is pleasing to Him, we should be eagerly pursuing and following His call and His leading in our lives.

Sadly, some folks who call themselves Christian just sit on their calling. The true believer in Christ not only follows Jesus, we are faithful to pass God's blessings and gifts to other people. God has given us something that belongs to other people, which makes us debtors. To sit on your opportunities or your gifts is bad enough, but when God gives you something for someone else, and you do not pass it on to them, you are failing God and stealing from the other person.

Some folks will see this post as an expression of "works salvation." WRONG. The person who is actually in a right relationship with God will understand that our calling is not only an obligation and responsibility, but it is a a privilege and an opportunity in our relationship with God to live out the salvation we have received. Faithful and loving service to God is the very thing that flows from salvation. We are saved by grace through faith and we are created unto good works. It is all part of being in the family of God.

If you are not enjoying the presence and power of God in your life as you should, maybe you have something in your life that is cutting you off from the free flow of God's love, God's light and God's life. Sin is that impediment.

We need to have clean hands and a pure heart. Faith in Christ and turning from sin will open your life up to the free flow of God's forgiveness, cleansing, power, purity, and leading.

Take about 12 minutes to sit and let God search your heart as you watch this video. TAKE TIME TO BE HOLY. Ask God to search your heart and life. Ask God to show you what you need. Surrender your life to His presence and His will.

The responsibility and authority of Government (including the President) is to protect the law abiding and punish the criminal. The USA has a foundation (legal system and Constitution) that recognizes Christianity as its founding faith. (THIS IS NOT MY OPINION, THIS IS THE HISTORICAL FACT). The Christian faith is the bedrock of our country and should be protected, but it should not be ruled, led, governed by the State.

Government should protect our rights, not determine our beliefs, or determine our religious duties. Since our country is based on Biblical truth, then there is no conflict between the Christian faith and Constitutional rights (as long as the State stays within its Constitutional boundaries). If the laws of the land contradict the basic revelation of Christian responsibility, then the Christian must obey God rather than men. However, the New Testament directives concerning social and civil behavior do not contradict the founding principles of our country.

Pagan practices have been and are forbidden in the USA (polygamy [Mormonism], "honor killings" [Islam], foot binding [Chinese practice], spousal burning on funeral pyres [Hindi and American Indian practice], for instance). Christian practices are not contrary to American justice system. It was Christian values that removed slavery in Britain and the USA.

There should not be an official State Office of religion. Years ago Bill Clinton did what seemed to be a good and Christian thing to do, when he signed The Religious Freedom Restoration Act. However, that law protected the use of drugs in Native American religion.

When the State is given authority over Christianity, then the cornerstone of American freedom is removed.

It is one thing for a president to take official action in political issues, it is another thing for a president to set Christian policies and practices.

God may use Trump to correct political oppression, corruption, fraud, but Trump does not have Divine authority to guide Christian faith or practice.

Corrupt and profane speech reveals a corrupt and profane heart.

Our whole society is sick, from the head (leaders in politics and business, law, academia), and the heart (religious and so-called Christian people) to the sole of the foot (the general population). This Biblical imagery is found in Isaiah 1:2-6, when God referred to His people, Israel, being in rebellion to His authority.

It is a symptom of extensive moral corruption when profane, perverse, obscene, prurient language is used openly and without shame. It is a subtle, but deliberate public form of anarchy.

I am constantly seeing and hearing "Christians" use words that are corrupt and demeaning. The vast majority of those who see themselves as Christians in this post-Christian world have renounced the Divine work of clean hands and pure hearts.

I post a lot about the power of God to save believers from sin, and about the power of God that enables believers to follow, obey and please God by living a life of godliness. I am aligned with the New Testament apostles, who taught that God saves His people from sin and sinning.

But I also know that I have friends who disagree with the Biblical fact that God CALLS His people to be holy and to live a holy life, and they also disagree with the Biblical fact that God PROVIDES everything necessary for life and godliness, and they also deny the Biblical fact that God EXPECTS and REQUIRES His people to walk in truth, light, love, righteousness, obedience, faith.

I am sorry for their disbelief concerning these clear and redundant BIBLICAL truths. The same Bible that says, "You must be born again," also says, "without holiness, no man shall see the Lord."

I sometimes wonder if I have friends who find these posts to be enlightening and encouraging. Is it possible that my preaching and teaching about victorious living is a welcomed message because most of the preaching and teaching people hear today is about the supposed inability of God's grace to make believers more than over-comers, leaving us unable to resist all temptation, and unable to walk in obedience to God's will.

Ever since the Garden of Eden, people have been wanting God's blessings but rejecting God's will.

I remember decades ago when our society moved into the "Post-Christian Period." I thought, "What a strange idea?" But it was true. In that paradigm shift we have seen the rise of "SINNING RELIGION" replace SALVATION FROM SIN. Today most people think that the preaching of deliverance from sin is a heresy rather than the Divine work of salvation.

It is time for actual Christians to unashamedly walk in righteousness and declare the truth that saving grace conforms God's people to the image of His Son.

Don't be carried away by the flood of defeatist "Christianity" covering our nation today.

Even though it scours massive amounts of data, it is not equipped or designed or capable to interact with and respond morally, spiritually or personally with God's Holy Spirit. IT IS A MACHINE. We are to seek and to love God with our whole being (mind and strength). We come in our simplicity, but we must grow in grace and knowledge, desire and submission.

Two obvious indicators that a supposed "ministry" is not Christian or Biblical.
1. When the leadership is not submitted to a local, New Testament oriented body of believers.
2. When there is female "leadership" over men, in the home and in the church.

There is much more in the Bible that addresses and explains God's qualifications for ministry and leadership, but these two points can be recognized by people with no Biblical knowledge, which is important, because it is the uninformed who are being targeted by the Pied Pipers of "Christian ministries."

There is legitimate leadership in a true church, but it is not separate from the whole picture of local church order, unity and authority.
This is why seekers need to have Christian leaders who speak the truth (Biblical truth) in love (self-denying love), and are called, gifted, trained in Biblical ministry.

Do not turn the well-being of your soul or the well-being of your children into the hands of people who are not Biblically qualified to lead. By the time the Pied Pipers show his real colors, most of those misled children will be irretrievably damaged.

I was just thinking about some of the elements necessary for success (corporate and personal), even in the Christian life and service to God.

Vision, goal, target.

Self-Discipline, Self-control, Self-Motivation, Self Denial, Self Evaluation.

Organization, Team Mentality, Accountability, Active Communication, Mutual Respect, Inter-dependence, Mutual Support.

Time-Wiseness, Commitment to Scheduling, Promptness.

Positivity, Excitement, Availability.

Resources, Tools, Materials, Finances.

I realize there is much more. These are just thoughts that jumped out at me this morning.

There are untold numbers of books that address this subject in detail. It is good to read. But some of this is common sense and can be picked up by watching and listening and following leadership.

Don't expect success without taking the steps to success.

I am not a promoter of Boy George or Cindy Lauper (popular counterculture music artists since the 1980s), but I did recognize their talent (though some folks would question my sanity or my spirituality). I also realized they had an appeal and an inroad to the confused youth of the day, but I did find their style and some of their songs to be revealing and entertaining.

For instance, Boy George sang, "Karma Chameleon" addressing the issue of being "authentic," regardless of the cost. Of course, the "authenticity" promoted by Boy George was the rising subculture of homosexuality. Now look at the outcome of opening that, "Pandora's Box." Cindy Lauper also pushed the envelope of deviant self-assertion (as in her song, "Time After Time," while drawing untold millions of followers from all over the world.

These two songs ushered in the spirit of the age we are dealing with now. Our world has always been moving away from God. But after the 1960s we saw a major shift in social mores, which became evident in the popular music scene of the day.

"The spirit of the age" is a phrase that has Biblical as well as societal implications. The word, "zeitgeist" comes from two German words. Geist means, "mind, spirit, ghost," (remember, "poltergeist" refers to a "noisey ghost," or "knocking ghost." Zeit means, "time." Therefore, Zeitgeist means, "the mind(set) of the time," or "the (ghost) spirit of the age."

Here is Paul's statement concerning the "spirit of the age."
Ephesians 2:1-3
1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

There is an underlying attitude that is indicative of a specific time period. There was a popular rebellion against the authority and rule of God in the days of Noah. Jesus said that the last days would be like the days of Noah. In recent decades we have seen a similar mindset developing in the western world, to that of the world in the days of Noah.

We are seeing a mindset of wickedness, perversion, violence, rebellion, which is reflective of the days of Noah, when the thoughts of the heart (mind) were only evil continually. We are seeing an attitude today that reminds us of the corporate mind in the days of the Tower of Babel, when men thought they had outgrown the God of creation. It was a spirit of the age, which would show up from time to time in human history, each time more lawless than the previous, which is leading to the Tribulation Period.

In recent decades (and with greater frequency), we are seeing more apostasy in the name of Christianity. Popular preachers, teachers, musicians, movements are turning away from the authority of Scripture and changing the moral standards to immoral standards. Divine reality is being exchanged for deviant religion. It is not unusual to see Bible preachers or children of Bible preachers teaching and leading gullible people in anti-Biblical doctrines and behavior.

This is why Scripture tells us to be part of a strong local body and to submit to Biblical leadership in the last days. God is not pleased with the rise of self appointed teachers, preachers, leaders.

The only point I will reiterate is the fact that sin is what God calls sin, not what self assured prophets and self made authorities tell us that sin is. If it violates God's clear revelation, it is sin. God holds us accountable for what we KNOW to be His truth, He does not hold us accountable for another person's light (or confusion).
Again, this is a thoughtful, kind and loving encouragement. Christian Perfection demands humility and compassion and personal liberty concerning many issues.

Think about it. We have the WHO, the CDC, and the Faucis of the world telling us everything we should do concerning our health. Preventative medicine, long-term care, and injections of all kinds. They are very in your face sometimes and don’t care how they demean you for not agreeing with them. It’s really rather disgusting.
Then on the other side you have the anti- WHO, the anti-CDC, and the anti-Faucis of the world telling us we shouldn’t listen or do any or all of the preventative, long term care, or injections of most or all kinds. They are very "in your face" sometimes, and they don’t care how much they demean you or your decisions when it comes to your health or the health of your family, including your children. And it’s really rather disgusting.
Why is it disgusting coming from either side? Because neither side is God.
A loving husband and wife who seek the Lord concerning their overall health and wellbeing, and the overall health and wellbeing of their children should tune out those voices on either side who are calling them crazy (at least when they’re being nice about it and using a nice adjective to describe you), and instead seek the Lord and listen to His voice.
God knows above all the other voices what you and your children need. And I know this comes as a shock to some people, but not everyone has the same maladies, issues, and susceptibilities as everyone else.
Not even little children. Some children will go through life and never encounter a major medical issue, or have any underlying problems, or be susceptible to sickness or diseases that other children are susceptible to. We should be very grateful for such a blessing.
But, there are little children who suffer things you would never want to see your precious little boy or the little girl who is your whole world go through. And those parents and families are living day to day, trying to keep their little ones as healthy as they can, for as long as they can, and keep them from suffering as little as possible.
As Christians, we need to seek the Lord concerning our overall health and the overall health of our children. And the path doesn’t look like everyone else’s, and that’s ok We need to drown out the voices of those who rant and try to call into question our wisdom, and sadly even those who question our walk with the Lord, because we choose to follow His leading when it comes to our medical decisions for our families.
Your story is not my story. And my story is not your story. That’s why I don’t rant and rave against other Christian’s decisions when it comes to the wellbeing of their families.
Seek the Lord and follow His will. He knows you and your family better than anyone else. And never forget to sincerely love those who don’t agree with you, who rant and rave against you, and who question your sanity or even your salvation.

All my life, people (old and young, Republican and Democrat, various races, Bible believers and atheist, various ages, various educational levels, various economic levels) have agreed that BUREAUCRACY was a major problem in this country and political leaders of every kind promised to reduce it and save America. It never happened.

Now, for the first time in my lifetime (and for a couple of hundred years of American politics), there is an actual movement to save America from the downward spiral of political corruption, economic oppression, moral deviance, and attacks on family, faith and freedom. This is not to say that the present Administration is without its problems, or that the present Administration won't become worse than previous Administrations. I am simply pointing out that our society is so thoroughly messed up that it won't even head for the "fire exit" when the building is engulfed in flames.

This mentality of SINSANITY, is the result of anti-Christ influences taking greater control of the minds of our country than we ever realized in the past. Any man-made attempt to escape this moral, spiritual, intellectual, political morass is going to be short lived. The only answer to that which is anti-Christ is that which is Divine deliverance.

The plague of Humanism, Socialism, Communism, Marxism, and it's deviant offspring movements, became more ingrained in a Godless, Bible denying, mindless, Statist society, until today the Burro-Krats and the "never America" crowd are crying out for the wasting of taxpayer money on the most insane and immoral programs any government or party has ever espoused, and the rejection of Bible salvation, which sets us free from sin and blindness.

Satan says we have no choice concerning the direction we want to take in life. The phrase, "fait accompli," means that the decisions are already made (your fate is already accomplished).

Satan and oppressive governments have the same point of view. While it is true that our world is headed for total failure, it is not a Divine decision. Total failure comes to mankind because the world rejects the Lordship of Christ over it. However, a rebellious, Christ rejecting world cannot rule out the consequences that come with spiritual anarchy. This is why the world will be cut off from God.

I posted today that your chosen direction determines your destination. The American zeitgeist of today (spirit of the age), is the ongoing and developing spirit of rebellion against God, which began in the Garden and has continued to putrefy ever since. Don't be sucked into the "present age" form of Christianity, which is spreading across our country.

A Christianity that follows political, "academic," social, economic, behavioral standards, rather than fully following the revealed word of God, and living in submission to God's rule, and manifesting the supernatural power of The Holy Spirit's inner transformation, is a poor counterfeit. To accept such a spiritually destitute position is to align against God, and is the choice of the Biblically illiterate, the deceived masses and the willfully rebellious.

If your salvation does not conform you to the loving, holy likeness of Jesus, you are following the Pied Pipers of this present evil age. Bible Christians align with God's will and plan for personal righteousness, and the Lordship of Christ over us individually and corporately as over local churches.

The Bible says we are called unto holiness, not to be confused with a carnal, external, legalistic form of religion. True salvation gives us Christ likeness, clarity of mind, perfection in love, resilience to resist temptation, oneness of mind with God and His people. Don't settle for the devil's unreasonable facsimile. Be a Bible Christian.

Scripture tells us that people will cry, "Peace, Peace, but there is no peace."
Satan allows a semblance of peace but reverts to violence and death when he sees defeat coming his way.

The only real Prince of Peace will not come back until seven years of Anti-Christ insurrection, which we have seen foreshadowed by Communist overthrows. Insurrection is not simply trespassing. It is the blood of innocent people flowing in the streets.
The Burro-Crats are calling for "actual weapons" to be brought to a political fight they are losing.

God is calling us to be soldiers of the cross, wielding the Sword of the Spirit (not the sword of steel), because the weapons of Christian warfare are not physical, since we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (and takes political power over the masses).

The problem is that there are very few soldiers of the cross today. Men depend on horses and chariots, the arm of flesh because they think the kingdom of God is temporal and carnal. God tells us that the wrath of man does not accomplish the will of God. It is easier to spill another person's blood than it is to die in service to the true King of kings.

Following Jesus does cost us everything. His kingdom is not of this world. If His kingdom was a worldly kingdom, He would call us to carry the sword of steel and spill the blood of our enemies. BUT HE DOES NOT.

Read the Bible without the Roman, or Reformed, or any other man-made view.
Remember, being a Christ follower means we live according to New Testament directives, not Old Testament laws. God had an earthly, geographically bordered kingdom in the Old Testament. He has a spiritual kingdom on earth today, which will become an earthly when He returns physically.

The New Testament does not condone violence or commend violence or command violence in the life of a Christian. Instead, the New Testament commands non-violence in His follower, He condemns violence in His people.
Christian non-violence (not to be confused with pacifism) has been God's directives for the Church throughout history. Not until the pagan Constantine corrupted the "Church," did Christians use physical violence.

Obeying and following Jesus will bring hatred and persecution. It always has. But it is always better to obey God than men.

In spite of all the corruption and greed, which has been uncovered by the Trump Administration, the USA is still the greatest country in the history of the world. It started out with evil people in office, or law-abiding people doing evil things. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN STOPPED THEN.

Over time the greed and corruption has escalated until it almost fills every seat in our government. STILL, America overcame terrible leaders and practices. Consider the ending of American slavery. We were one of the leading nations to end slavery, and that was not done for financial gain).

Scripture tells us, "the love of money is the root of all evil." It was this particular evil that drove the slave trade, and has since driven the political graft, which has spawned oppression of the poor and the weak, the drug epidemic, the trafficking of women and children (male and female), the Woke and the cultural upheaval of recent decades, the Dumbing down of America's children, the attack on family, faith, freedom.

I often wondered how our country got to the bottom of the barrel without anyone stepping in to restore the roots of our greatness.

Of course, as a Christian and a conservative, I knew the answer to that question.) Still, it was so obvious, but it was constantly ignored by the leading minds, politicians, business leaders and academicians (all robber barons).
Now (for whatever period of time it will last) there is a sudden awakening and massive correction taking place in Washington.

I believe God is allowing the US an opportunity to move in the right direction, at least for a period of time. I don't believe we will save ourselves and I don't believe in a human champion who will deliver us.
What we are seeing at this present time in Washington (at least to a degree) is waking up to what conservative grass roots of America has always known. Sadly, the water temperature was turned up slowly and the frogs were cooked in their own juices.

WE are not going to bring the kingdom without the King of Righteousness (Jesus Christ). I believe this opportunity to repent, to turn, to trust and follow Jesus will see more people seeking a human answer to the problem, will seek a supposed "super-man," sealing their doom for rejecting Christ.

The world wants a better world, but they don't want a holy King.

My problem, as a Bible preacher, is not that I cannot find passages, which proclaim, promise and provide deliverance from all sin, but rather that I can't find enough time to preach the ones I do see. They are abundant. I start to study one passage, and two or three others scream out for attention.

There will come a time when God will blind the reprobates, but in the meantime, it is the devil who blinds the minds of those who are willfully rejecting the light of the gospel.

The first casualty of war is truth (unless your truth is Jesus). Here is the truth.

Those who trust and follow Jesus will be forgiven of their sins, purified from their Old Man, set free from their spiritual bondage, be conformed to Christ's image, delivered from their evil heart of unbelief, overcome temptation, overcome the world and the flesh and the devil, led into victory, walk in light and love and truth, be more than a conqueror.

We are in a spiritual war, where our weapons are not physical, our enemy is not primarily human, our objective is not temporal. Though our enemy is primarily demonic, we are despised and persecuted by the enemies of the cross, and this attack on the godly is promoted by men in high places.

Whatever else President Trump may or may not not do (good or bad), up to this point he is doing more presidential work protecting US from thieves in D.C., perverts, oppressors, child mutilators, racial and gender and religious discrimination.

He is an active threat to crooked politicians, terrorists, traffickers, international and national enemies, drug dealers, invaders, politically driven justice system, and other destroyers of freedom, faith, family and financial success. Even today we are seeing rats scurry and even attack as their massive fraud and thievery is being exposed and confronted. Don't let the pretense of "social concern" or the facade of a "Progressive Moral High Ground," mislead you into revolting against policies and practices, which should have been in place for generations. What has been living under the rocks is finally being exposed, and removed, "and it ain't pretty."

Still, this is a fallen world headed for an incredibly dark future, not because of an inherently anger driven god, but because of a world that resists and rejects the love of God, Who gave His only begotten Son to save the lost from His just judgement.

It is right to commend the commendable. We should not only be thankful for the positive things we receive (and remember, God is the Giver of every good and perfect gift), but we must use our advantages to draw closer to God, while we have advantages. Use this time to lead your children, to share the Gospel, to follow Christ freely.

The trap of oppression, wickedness and perversion shuts slowly (as it did in our government for over two centuries), and it shuts suddenly (don't forget the rampant evil and sinsanity of the previous Burro-Crat fiasco in D.C.).

Scripture tells us not to trust in horses or chariots or the arm of flesh or human systems or in human heroes. Instead it tells us (time and again) to trust in the Lord

I use to turn on the morning news to see how far our renegade government has led us into insanity and wickedness overnight.

Now I tune-in to see what wickedness is being exposed, confronted, and corrected by our new Administration.

God instituted human government for two basic reasons: to protect the law abiding and to punish the lawless.
This makes men responsible to live civil and orderly lives, and it makes government leaders accountable to God for the safety of their people.

When a nation and its government moves away from God, they move away from freedom, law and order, and then wickedness, abuse, oppression and every kind of crime permeates all of society.

This has been happening for a long time in the USA, and in recent years resistance and rejection of God has become bolder and deeper seated.

It was good for men to accept Divine morality as standards for lawful human behavior, in the founding of our country, and it is good when men want to return to Divinely established standards of morality. But when men move away from God and they begin to trust in human wisdom, when men become so enamored with their own accomplishments, and when men lust after power and wealth, and when men view themselves too highly, then certain destruction will follow.

God appoints men to lead nations, but He does not appoint any man to lead the world, until Jesus returns. God will give peace to those who submit to His authority, but chaos and upheaval awaits those who grasp for more than God has intended for them to have.

Our nation was built on freedom of religion (faith). Our government is inherently and officially responsible to provide us this freedom by protecting us against oppression. However, the State does not have Divine authority to impose a belief system on the people. Even a so-called Christian party is not appointed by God to rule a nation. Religious and even spiritual men fail and fall. Men are not to sit in judgment of the Christian faith. God has given the final word concerning His truth in the Bible. Man does not sit in judgment of God's word, God's word is the standard by which we will be judged.

When the State has the power to impose judgment on the beleifs of Christian people, then that particular group of interpreters becomes the high priests of a false religion.

It is one thing for a person or a party to disagree with someone's understanding of a portion of Scripture, it is another issue for a person or party to outlaw differing views. I don't agree with all of the interpretations in the so-called charismatic movement, and I don't agree with all of the interpretations of the Reformed or Calvinistic movements. In fact, I staunchly reject some of their beliefs as heretical. However, I would not require that anyone believe what I believe, either by social pressure or by government decree. I would like for all others to agree with me on Biblical issues that I consider to be fundamental, but I do not mind that others disagree with me. We should be allowed to believe differently, so long as it does not violate God given standards of justice and civility. God allows a person to be wrong in this life, but ultimately He will judge us all for our thoughts, words and deeds.

This country was founded upon Christian faith and values. The Christian faith is not contrary to the founding principles of our country, but many of the teachings and practices of pagan religion were forbidden in our country, from the time of our founding and including the un-Christian polygamous practices of Mormonism. Biblical Christianity is not the enemy of our country, it is the foundation of our country,

We do have a problem in today's hodgepodge of teachers and beliefs. This is why it is important for us to be free to believe and practice our Biblically based faith without government intrusion. The problem is not only the ignorance of Biblical truth in society, it is the turning away from historic Christian behavior.

This article does not answer questions as much as it stirs up questions. What I am hoping to encourage is for folks to seriously study Biblical, historic Christianity and then believe and behave in a way that is pleasing to the God of the Bible. Truth produces godliness and strength and love.

I often try to encourage people to either improve their health and physical condition, or to at least maintain their fitness. I also recognize that situations can affect our physical condition, such as injury, sickness, age, or a combination of the three.

There are folks who will not get better until they go to be with the Lord. A restricted life interferes with our activities, relationships, responsibilities and opportunities. For believers there is the added burden of not being able to do the service, the ministries we have been doing in life. Other folks need to understand this and they need to take care in helping the believer deal with their limited abilities.

Being restricted, limited, disabled in one way does not always mean we are unable to adapt. There are other things to do, which are high priority opportunities, such as: more time in prayer; more time to reflect and share your memories, lessons, insights, words of kindness; more time for getting rest and recuperation, without guilt.

At some point you may be totally incapacitated physically. God is still with you. God still has control. God does all things well and all things work together for good to those who love the Lord.

For those who are still well and active, be sensitive, be supportive, be encouraging, be patient, be responsive, be attentive. Remember, when the body is unable to do what it use to do, the mind can still be very active, alert and aware. We treat others with love, kindness, and dignity, whether they are active, disabled or totally unresponsive because it is the Christ-like thing to do. We love others because God loves them. We care for others because it is the Christian thing to do.

Jesus extended love and hope (in His Own time of suffering) to the thief on the cross. We should be ready to extend ourselves for the suffering and the weak and certainly available to those who have spent their lives caring for us and others.

I went 4 months without working out. I did a little bit of walking exercise and a few kayak trips and very occasional free hand movements, but my strength and conditioning went down hill. I was having some physical issues at the time.

Praise the Lord, I resumed a very low level routine this past weekend. I am feeling better and hope to see some really good changes.

I only post this to encourage other folks who may have suffered a set back or a lay-off. Not everyone can do what they want to do, and we have to adjust our thinking as well as our actions. This can happen to anyone, at any age. But I encourage folks to do what they can, while they can. Choosing to be debilitated will increase the debilitation.

I love y'all. It is rough going through a physical ailment, or getting old, or suffering an injury. But don't let negativity or laziness or past failures or present burdens keep you down.

Here is how it should work.

All Christians should be telling the good news to other people. We hope they will receive Christ as Savior.

All Christians should share the value of their church relationship with other people and invite them to come and see for themselves.
We hope they will want to be part of our saved, loving fellowship.

Pastor preaches and teaches the truth clearly, lovingly, unapologetically.
He calls folks to salvation, holiness of heart and life, establishing and building them up and sending them out to do the will and work of God.

He invites visitors to come back.
He offers to meet with them and their family, answering their questions about salvation, the Bible, and that local church.

The believer who "brought" the visitor should follow-up and take steps to encourage their friend to come out to other services, Bible classes, fellowships, and activities.

Everyone needs to be saved, and every new believer needs to be part of a strong, spiritual church family.

We each have our opportunities and responsibilities in leading other people into a meaningful Christian life.

I don't like reporting the dark side of life. I am not a gloom-sayer or a dooms-dayer. I am a truth conveyor. I tell the truth, even when it is unpleasant and even when I know some folks will attack me for saying it.

I have been warning folks that "the ride is about to get really bumpy," but the half has not been told. 

The Bible says the wickedness of the world in the last days will be like it was in the days of Noah. It appears that those days may be in our near future. And remember, though the judgement of God was a long time coming, when it did come, it came suddenly, and without escape.

When the bottom does "drop out" for America, it will seem like the flood in Noah's day. Total upheaval in politics, health, crime, perversion, violence, hatred. Though Christians will not be here during the Tribulation, the pre-Tribulation world will be worse than we can imagine. Ask Christians who came under the demonic rule of Nero, Decius and Diocletian. During those persecutions there was a dramatic rise in cultic belief and behavior. Don't be surprised at the rise of false prophets, false teachers in our day. And don't forget, the Edicts of Serdica and Milan which supposedly were intended to end persecution of Christians led to a State religion following the rule pagan Constantine, which has been more destructive to Christianity than persecution.

Also consider the Christians who lived under persecution from the Roman Catholic religion, the Zoroastrians, the Muslims, the Communist (such as Russia, China), the Ottoman Empire and the barbaric regimes of Idi Amin, Kim Jong Un, Mao Zedong, Stalin.

Don't be lulled or deceived into popular, cultural, State Christianity. Abandon man-made and man-centered, watered down faith. True salvation is miraculous, free, costly, transforming, empowering.
The present political environment is enticing folks to trust in a man rather than trusting in the God/Man, Jesus Christ. Today's "Christian" is less likely to be a vital, active part of a local church. This is dangerous for them. God's plan and His revelation in the New Testament is a community of believers who are committed and submitted to one another, working as one body. New Testament Christianity is not a Lone Ranger or Lone Wolf religion. Be Biblical. Your own spiritual well being and need of a lost world demands Biblical discipleship. We are not allowed to re-frame, re-interpret, redesign God's plan for the present age.

It is difficult to find a truly Biblical local church in today's sinning religion atmosphere. But it is also true that people do not want to submit to Biblical authority, as the Bible says, it is found in pastors and fellow parishioners.

Jesus only spoke of the Church, by name, a couple of times.
In Matthew 16. He told us that He is the foundation of The Church and that the Church (the unified body of believers) would overcome the gates (the power, the wisdom, the strategy) of hell.
In Matthew 18 He gave us the form of church discipline and authority for local bodies of believers.
But Scripture spoke of the Church by name (mostly the local church) over 100 times in the New Testament.

God's gifts and calling and discipline and mission and offices and officers and authority and message are given to the Church (local churches specifically). There is no Biblical Christianity aside from body of Christ. Our personal need for the local church is always a priority, but especially as things get worse.

White House Faith Office. I have not looked into details, but from the outset, it is a bad move. Protecting and insuring the freedom of Christian faith is the actual, Constitutional and historic responsibility of U.S. Government, but it is beyond the purview of any President to appoint any one office or officer over a national faith.

This is part of what I have been warning folks about concerning a non-Christian going beyond his legitimate authority.

Trump can be used in doing God's will or Satan's will. Christians better be aware that some things will not be God's will.

Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

There is only one Lord over the Church, and He is not headquartered in District of Columbia, Vatican City, Salt Lake City, The Bronx, New York City, London, Mecca, Varanasi, (present day) Jerusalem. Only Jesus is Head of the Church.

As I said, I have not spent time looking into Trump's action (yet), but I know that a Government Faith Office is the wrong direction. Among other problems, no man (much less a woman) should have oversight of a nation's belief system. Keep in mind, such an Office reflects the President's choice, which is never good, (and it will deteriorate rapidly), and it will change with any person who becomes President.

Remember, I have warned about "prayer in school" for the same reason. A Satanist or Muslim or Mary worshipper or Mormon or whoever could be the one leading the children in prayer.

Folks better wake up and come back to Biblical beliefs and behavior... QUICKLY.

This is a spiritual truth, not simply a nautical principle.

Sadly, most people, even those who call themselves Christian, are not in the channel (Biblical path of salvation, the will of God).

We should always seek the center of God's will, the deeper life. We will still encounter storms and flotsam (temptation and trials), which we need to avoid, but we will not wreck on hidden shoals, rocks or oyster beds.

God will lead us away from temptation and trials. He will deliver us from evil if we stay in deep waters and watch for spiritual dangers.

Many years ago, I was pastor of a church that was reaching the young people of our church members and our community as well as reaching other lost people in our community. In fact, I was being invited to preach at other churches in our community. However, there were church bosses in my congregation who did not like that they could not control my message, and they were determined to get rid of me. They would have liked to voted me out, but they would have needed to convince enough of the members, which would have been a major project. Instead, the church bosses decided to withhold their financial support from the church.

Martha and I were good friends with the general membership, including the treasurer and his family. He and his family appreciated my ministry and my focus on children and young people. However, he invited me and Martha to come over to his house one evening. This was not unusual, since we were actually friends. I knew the church bosses were wanting to get rid of me, but I was not getting into a personal squabble with them. I just kept doing what a loving, honest, Bible preaching pastor was suppose to do. The night we visited with the treasurer and his family, it was obvious something was bothering him. He started the evening conversation by saying how much he and his wife, and other members appreciated my ministry, but then he said the church had a major problem. He told me that the church bosses were withholding financial support until I was gone. He pointed out that he, along with others were agreed that their church could not make it without the finances of the church bosses, therefore he knew that I would have to leave. The leaders of that church were willing to get rid of a Bible preacher, who loved them and their families, because they were afraid of losing money. It was not because of doctrinal, moral, personal reasons, but because people would rather have the money of the church bosses than to trust and obey God.
I have seen church leaders coddle parishioners because they were political leaders, school board leaders, business leaders, financial leaders, to the extent that they muted the message of God's word from their pulpit and put the spiritual well being of their children on the altar of sacrifice for money and prestige.

And, I have seen pastors mute themselves and God's message for fear of offending church bosses, financial supporters, social, political and civic leaders.

You better be part of a local body of believers who love God and His word more than they love the applause of men, more than they love the benefits of the privileged class, more than they love the money that runs their church.

There are sell-outs who will sacrifice you and your children for the support and favor of the selfish class. Be careful.

I came along at a time when society (and Christendom) said you should not mix religion (meaning Christ, the Bible, salvation, Christianity) and the State.

That was a lie of Satan, which blinded millions of American church goers; and you see where that took us as a nation.

Over time, the State took advantage of that lie and told churches that they would be taxed if the church addressed political issues. Because of the love of money and fear of social disdain, most churches and ministries muted the message of God.

You cannot read the Bible and believe its message if you disassociate issues, which address political, governmental, social issues.

Of course, the devil has deceived various people in various ways.

Some folks think that humans have no choice in their salvation.
Some folks think that sin does not separate us from God.
Some folks think that God does not separate us from sin.
Some folk think that Christians are not able to resist all temptation.
Some folks think that believers cannot be delivered from all sin in this present evil world.
Some folks think that believers cannot be cleansed from all sin in this present evil world.
Some folks think that God's salvation does not make a trusting believer pure, righteous or holy.

In other words, some folks do not believe the Bible on clear and repeated truths of salvation.

Therefore it is not surprising that folks believe pastors (preachers) should not address social, governmental or political issues.

Any message or messenger that refuses to address these issues is not giving an honest presentation of the word of God or the salvation of God.

02/05/25 STAND UP

The following is a song written by folks in our church in the 1980s. It reflects my preaching that Jesus Christ is the only Head and Lord over the Church.

It is not a call to carnal warfare or anarchy.
It is a call for Christians to stand firm in the faith by following Christ rather than submit to godless anarchy (which pretends to be legitimate government).

It was not a call to bullets or ballots, but a call to Biblical faith and obedience to God, rather than men.

Too bad more people did not hear this call. It might have kept their children from selling out to the Socialistic, Humanistic, DEI, Woke and Cancel Culture lies that have damned millions of Americans.

People scoffed and opposed me and the people of our church for our "radical" stance in those days. But we suffered far less losses than those who sacrificed their chilfren on the altar of Molech.

The attack on faith, family, freedom is not over, and is not on the verge of being over. We may not see our country come back to Jesus, but for those who mean business with God, it is time to get out of bed with the devil, and make it clear to the State and society, WE AIN'T GONNA TAKE NO STUFF.

If your preacher or your church is not taking a stand against the attacks on Biblical faith and against the Lordship of Christ, it is time for you to take yourself out of darkness and align with the light of Biblical discipleship.

The State is taking the churches for everything that it can.
They're trying to control our children. It's time we took a stand.
They talk about separation, I think I've heard enough!

WE NEED TO HEED THE "GOD STOPS" IN LIFE

Individuals, societies, and nations have plunged into eternal torment by ignoring the STOPS, which God has placed in the road.

As folks chase after worldly and sinful pleasures, God warns them to STOP, while offering them the ability through His miraculous gift of deliverance.

But men choose to follow their own desires instead. They cling to and pursue wealth, promiscuity, deception, hatred, jealousy, pride, greed, idolatry, self-satisfaction, and self-promotion. They choose not to STOP, but rather to continue in their rebellion.

The depths of degradation are far worse than we comprehend.
The depravity of man during the days of Noah are stated to have been, "all of the thoughts of man were evil continuously."
Concerning man's capacity for evil in the early days of Babel, God said that the people had become unified in their evil imaginings, and their evil actions would be unbounded. There have been exceptionally evil societies that God has destroyed through"natural phenomena" and also through the violence of other evil men. Sometimes the evil is displayed in the grossest of sexual perversion, the vilest abuse and violation of children, sometimes it is the trafficking of women and children, sometimes it is the enslavement and debauchery of addictions, sometimes it is unfettered violence, sometimes it is heartless oppression, sometimes it is government gone awry.

Wickedness and the consequences of wickedness happen because people do not yield, submit to the STOPS that God sets before them. America, as a nation and as small communities, has been rushing over the STOPS and mocking God and His people for such "old fashioned" ideas.

America may have a moment of seeming remorse, but it is going to go back to the pigsty, sooner than later. However, we as individuals, can still heed the STOPS before we have lost everything.

BTW, God not only gives us the STOPS, He provides the option and the ability to obey. It is called salvation and it is miraculous. We can't get anyone else to turn to God, but we must make certain that we turn to God and turn our entire life over to God.

Seek out a preacher that tells you that there are DO's and DON'T's in the Christian life and there are STOPS and GO's. God will enable you to keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight.

Colossians 1:9-14
9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
