02/06/25 SEEK DEEPER WATER

I post notes, which show up on my Mobile Profile Photo. Yesterday's note was,
"Stay in the channel and you won't run aground."

This is a spiritual truth, not simply a nautical principle.

Sadly, most people, even those who call themselves Christian, are not in the channel (Biblical path of salvation, the will of God).

We should always seek the center of God's will, the deeper life. We will still encounter storms and flotsam (temptation and trials), which we need to avoid, but we will not wreck on hidden shoals, rocks or oyster beds.

God will lead us away from temptation and trials. He will deliver us from evil if we stay in deep waters and watch for spiritual dangers.
