It is bad enough to look back and regret a single decision, which resulted in ongoing tragic consequences, but it is far worse to continue in the same errant and tragic direction, compounding the same destructive consequences. However, it is damning to refuse to accept God's light on that recurring situation. Failure in the past is not an excuse to fail today.
It was bad enough that the Christian community in America (American Christianity, from pulpit to the pew, including parents), sacrificed the children to Scientism, Socialism, Humanism and Statism, by silently letting the destructive wave of darkness engulf our society, government, academics, justice system, politics, but it is much worse that pastors, parishioners, parents allowed sinsanity and idiocracy, and wokism, to stifle the proclamation of truth; to overthrow the authority of the ministry in Christian leadership; to steal the children and youth of America from their faith, their families, their freedoms.
Pastors moved away from pastoral obligations and opportunities to shake the Gates of Hell; they surrendered their authority and Divine assignment to lead, teach, counsel, confront and build up the local body and to equip their churches for battle against false doctrine, damnable heresies. Pastors should have never turned the minds of their people over to Bible hating, so-called "Educators," "Politicians," "Academics," Scientists," "Doctors" and "Counselors" (medical and mental health and family life). Pastors should have led the way in resisting and rejecting Secularist intrusion into their church ministries and families. But they sat back and watched, as Rehoboam watched the enemies of God rob the Temple. Once the treasures are robbed, there is little likelihood that they will ever be recovered. The only right response is to realign with the rule of God. Sadly, most pastors surrendered the treasures of the "temple," but have never taken steps to recover those treasures or protect other treasures of the church. (By the way, the treasures include the lives, the minds, the souls of the children and young people.)
But it was not only the silence and surrender of State fearing pastors that lost the treasures of children, youths, family, morality, authority, it was the complacency of Christians at large (parishioners), and parents in particular, who not only surrendered their responsibilities and rights into the hands of an intrusive political, governmental and social system; those parents readily sacrificed their treasures to those false gods because of fear and for love of worldly advantages.
The betrayal is not over. Even though 60 years of spiritual insurrection has been aggressively destroying individuals, families, churches and our entire country, we are still seeing pastors, parishioners and parents bow before the State and Socialism and Secularism. Apparently the perversions and destruction of children, youths, families, churches and our great country has not moved them to ACTION. There is plenty of "praise," "worship," "teaching," "preaching," "speaking out," but there is no standing up and charging the Gates of Hell.
It has always been costly to follow Jesus, which is why we have seen so little following of Jesus and so little spiritual success in the last sixties years. Pastors and parishioners and parents opened the flood gates of hell and stood by as their families, their faith, their freedoms were carried away. But now, in the face of the evidence, they still meet and greet, but don't move their feet to defend the truth or defeat the enemies of the cross.
It is time for confession, repentance, obedience. We will not save America, but we don't have to lose more Americans to the anti-Christ spirit of the day. It is a national problem, it is a regional problem, it is a local problem, and empty words only empty the hearts and empty the kingdom. Put the walk into your talk. It is costly, but the alternative is much more costly. We are not going to change the tide, but we can save some from being swept away in the raging current. It is not easy now, but it is easier today than it will be tomorrow. In fact, there may not be a tomorrow. Today is the day of salvation.
Don't get mad with me. I am just the messenger. And you know the message is true because the facts are screaming all around us. Sadly, there are few who are calling believers to action. But those who actually hear the warning are called to take action and they are also called to cry the warning aloud to others.
This war will not be won with bullets or ballots, but with Bible believers being obedient to God's call. We must obey God rather than men and we must not allow anyone to limit our submission to God (politician or pastor). Let God be true and every man a liar. We ought to be saying, "Though none go with me, still I will follow."
