This would be transformational. It is precious, but it should not be rare.
Hearing with your heart will transform you into a new person, it will conform you to the image of Jesus, enlighten your mind, guide your feet, employ your hands, guard your mouth, attune your ears, open your eyes, strengthen your backbone, fix your resolve, release your tears, stir your emotions, set your course, build your character, claim your time, treasure and talents and much more.
This is what will happen to those who hear with their hearts when God is speaking to them, whether in the privacy of your quiet time with God or your gathering with the local body of believers.
Growth in grace is the normal response of a spiritually healthy Christian.
Expect God to talk to you from His word, by His Spirit. Intend to say yes when He speaks to you. Test the spirits who speak to you, to make certain it is God.
This is not likely to happen, unless you come before Him humbly, expectantly, submissively.
