I agree with the basic MAGA platform. I want America to be Great. I voted against Socialism and all the other anti-Christian isms of the Burro-Kratic Party and I voted for Trump's platform.
But there is a danger in identifying as, "MAGA." I do not see myself as a variety of American, I am an American. The only identifier I use is that I am a Christian American. I don't unreservedly align with any political, economic, social or individual personality in our government. Individuals, Parties, Organizations and Governments change, and they also have various sides, some of which contradict each other. Neither God nor His word changes.
Definitions and identifiers also change. This is true in Christian nomenclature, with such words as Fundamental, Evangelical, Born Again, Christian, Bible believing, which makes it necessary to define and explain basic Biblical truth to those who have been misinformed and led astray.
A changing vocabulary is also true in societal, cultural, and political nomenclature. Sometimes the changes take place because of cultural changes and sometimes the changes take place because of a nefarious agenda.
When we allow ourselves to become known primarily as MAGA instead of American, then we allow the anti-Americans to become the Americans. This is what has already happened. Those who oppose American values (the elected Burrow-Kratz and unelected Bureaucrats) verbally align MAGA with Nazi, Oligarchy, anti-American views and activity.
I am not out to save America (though I offer people the true Savior Who can save them), and I am not expecting to reset the twisted terminology used against Christianity or America. I write this post just to point out that words matter. Either words mean what they say or they don't mean anything. When people fall for the deception, which Orwell referred to as, "Doublespeak," and "Doublethink," then they are easily led to destruction.
Remember, the Christian job is to reconcile sinners to God through Christ; it is not to save a worldly system.
2 Corinthians 5:17-20
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
We should be witnesses to those who are entangled in this worlds confusion, but remain aware that this world is passing away.
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
1 John 2:15-17
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
