It is important (essential) to know God's position concerning some subjects, such as...
Obedience to God, Faith, Faithfulness, Repentance, Confession, Dying to Sin, Death to the Old Man (the flesh, the carnal mind), Walking in God's Will (for instance His truth, His light, His grace, His love).
Ask these questions.
Is it commanded?
Is it commended?
Is it condoned?
Is it condemned?
It is also important (essential) to know God's position concerning subjects of another kind, such as...
Violating God's Commands, Disobeying God's Leading, Allowing Rebellion of any kind, (including sins of the flesh and spirit: [insert whatever sin you think of here]).
Ask these questions.
Is it commanded?
Is it commended?
Is it condoned?
Is it condemned?
It does not take a linguist or a theologian to understand the clear and repeated directives God has given.
False prophets and false teachers teach sinning religion, loudly and proudly. Don't be drawn into the errors, which are spawned by Satan.
We are not called to be the best we can be, we are invited to be the children of God, born of the Spirit, cleansed by the blood, being conformed to the image of Jesus and becoming the people He wants us to be. Salvation is the miraculous work and life of God in us, as we trust and follow Jesus.
2 Corinthians 6:14-18
14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
2 Corinthians 7:1
1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
1 John 3:4-10
4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
