Some folks erroneously think that being human is the same as being sinful.
It is true that all humans (other than Jesus) have been born with a corrupted and sinful nature, and it is also true that everyone who lives to be older than a small child (other than Jesus) has committed sin (willful disobedience to the known law of God).
"BUT GOD" has provided salvation, deliverance, forgiveness, cleansing, from sin (the penalty of sin, the pollution of sin and the power of sin). In fact, God not only forgives the believer for all of his sins when he repents and believes on Christ, but God also purifies the believer from all unrighteousness of the flesh and spirit, making the faithful believer, "pure, even as He is pure."
Believers are new creations in Christ Jesus, born of the Spirit, "created in Christ Jesus unto good works," "created in righteousness and true holiness," "renewed in knowledge after the image of Him that created him," and "conformed to the image of (God's) Son."
Those who want forgiveness from their sins but do not want deliverance from their rebellious behavior are trying to get to heaven by a different way than the true and only Way. They try to design and create their own salvation. They are clouds without water, they have a form of godliness, but they are denying God's salvation power.
If you don't hate your sin, if you don't turn from your sin, then you are still in your sin.
If you excuse your sin or you blame your sin on being human or you think that God will accept you, while you continue in your sin, then you are deceived, and the truth is not in you.
Great numbers want the religion of Christianity, but they do not want God's salvation from sin.
Some folks sought deliverance from their sin, but then they were deceived to think that...
God will not save us from all sin in this present evil world,
or,
God cannot save us from all sin in this present evil world,
or,
God does not care if are not saved from all sin in this present evil world,
or,
God does not want us to be saved from all sin in this present evil world.
But the fact is that God wants to save us from all sin, can save us from all sin and will save us from all sin.
It is possible for a person to be saved, then choose to distrust and disobey God. While they are in rebellion to God's will, that person is not in a state of grace. That person needs to repent, confess and believe God for His willingness to restore the fallen person. But God tells the backslider,
Isaiah 55:6-7
6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
There comes a time when God no longer strives with the rebellious person. The longer a backslider refuses to humble himself and repent, the stronger will be the grip of Satan and sin. In fact, there may come a time when the backslider gets to the point that he cannot turn to the Lord.
It does not take great intellect, wealth, talent, moral fiber to get saved from sin. It takes faith, trust, confidence in the loving, sacrificial death and resurrection of Christ. Presuming on God's goodness rather than trusting His mercy and grace to save us is a mistake that many people are making today.
Make your calling and election sure.
Do not reject God's offer.
Do not neglect God's call.
Do not presume on God's love.
Do not think that you have earned, or that you deserve God's favor.
God does not make us sin and God does not make us repent. Choose ye this day...
As Jesus told His first disciples,
Matthew 16:24
24 "Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me."
