04/20/25 IT ALL MAKES SENSE

04/20/25 IT ALL MAKES SENSE

Because of God's law, God is justified in judging the sinner.
Because God is love and He loves us while we are yet sinners, God gave His only begotten Son to save us, therefore God is justified in justifying the sinner.

Adam's sin led to all of Adam's children being shut out of God's presence, as exemplified by the curtain of separation in the Temple.

Christ's death and resurrection has opened the way for all the children of Adam to be acceptable as babies, and to be reconciled through faith and repentance, as demonstrated with the tearing of the curtain, from top to bottom, at the time of Christ's sacrifice and resurrection.

1 Timothy 4:8-11
8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
9 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.
10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.
11 These things command and teach.
The tearing of the curtain took place at the time of Christ's sacrifice. He has removed the barrier between God and man, for all those who come to God through faith in Christ.

However, there is still a barrier that separates men from God.
It is rebellion and disbelief.
This is a barrier that we must be willing to remove through obedient faith, and heart felt repentance.

Disbelief is demonstrated through...
Walking in the counsel of the ungodly.
Standing in the way of sinners.
Sitting in the seat of the scornful.

Continuing in the way of sin leads to hardening of the heart.
Hardening of the heart leads to being cut off from God, and that without remedy.

The death and resurrection of Christ is God's provision for our salvation.

Faith is the passkey to salvation.
Hebrews 11:6
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

We are not saved by the law of works.
We are saved by the law of faith.
Romans 3:24-27
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
