10/21/25 A WHOLE SALVATION FOR THE WHOLE PERSON

10/21/25 A WHOLE SALVATION FOR THE WHOLE PERSON

I have said on other occasions that salvation is a whole person reality, involving body, soul and spirit.

Salvation not only changes our God relationship from separation to reconciliation, but it changes our worldview from darkness to enlightenment, selfishness to self-sacrifice, the temporal to the eternal, and salvation aligns our thinking, speaking, behavior with the will of God rather than the world, fleshly mindedness and the devil. Salvation means we will yield our members (mind, eyes, tongue, ears, hands) as servants of God rather than servants of sin.

If our salvation only saves us from the penalty of sin, rather than from sin, then our salvation is not God's salvation.

God will save us from as much sin we are willing to renounce. Remember, He is able to save to the uttermost, those who come to God by faith in Christ. Whatever sin we hold onto robs us of God, since we cannot love God and love the world at the same time.

What a wonderful salvation that delivers us from the penalty, the power and the pollution of sin and also conforms us to the image of God's Own Son, causing us to always triumph in Christ.

By the way, if you fall or fail in your walk with Christ, He will be your advocate, but He gave us His word to keep us from falling.

Jude 1:20-25 KJV
20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:
23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
