12/13/25 "ONE ANOTHER" IN THE CHURCH

One of the great songs that sister Robin wrote has four verses with four lines each, with 16 phrases from the New Testament referring to the Christian relationship to One Another. Here are some of the clear statements on how we are to relate to One Another. Remember, these are not pious platitudes; these are admonitions from God to be adopted and followed.

Be at Peace with One Another. (Mk. 9:50)
Give Preference to One Another. (Ro. 12:10)
Love One Another as He Loved Us. (Jn. 13:34)
Be Devoted to One Another. (Ro. 12:10)

Edify One Another. (Ro. 14:19)
Be of the Same Mind with One Another. (Ro. 12:16)
Serve One Another. (Ga. 5:13)
Be Subject to One Another. (Ep. 5:21)

Be Kind to One Another. (Ep. 4:32)

We are many members, but we are One Body in Christ.
We are many members, but we are to have One Mind in Christ.
We are many members, but we have One Head, the Lord Jesus Christ.

This kind of relationship does not just happen accidentally. We live in a dynamic, challenging world. A right relationship with One Another happens because we make a deliberate choice, facing and dealing with changes in circumstances, emotions, and viewpoints. Being in unity with others does not mean we conform to the other people, and it does not mean that the other people need to conform to us. We all need to conform to Jesus. As we draw closer to Him, we will also draw closer to One Another.
