12/13/25 TEAMING FOR VICTORY

"Teaming" is a way to victory, whether personal or corporate. There is always a need for private and personal commitments in the life of a Christian, but nothing takes the place of corporate action. God designed us to be a part of a group (family, church, community). Other areas of life (business, labor, athletics, music) also benefit from cooperative interaction and interdependence. Some things in life are personal, but even our personal development depends on the work and contributions of other people. Some things can only be done by one person, but some ventures need coordinated participation and mutual support. The person who is only focused on his own personal world will not accomplish as much (even for himself) as the person who works with others for a greater purpose. Christian unity is not just another word for getting along agreeably. Christian unity is having the same mind and being committed to the same mission.

God is a Unity, but He is a Trinity of Divine Persons. God created us as a psycho-physical totality (body, soul, and spirit). Our body is made of many different parts working together for our well-being. Families are made up of parts.

God wants us to come APART from the world and our daily routines to spend personal time with Him. But God wants us to be A PART of His family, His body, His workforce.

The work of God in us is connected to the work of God through us. We are not saved by our works. We were saved to do good works. We are not saved to be Lone Ranger Christians. We are called to be fishers of men, warriors against darkness, co-laborers with Jesus and His children. Even Jesus committed Himself to His earthly ministry, for the good of mortal man.

Don't miss your calling. Your calling includes corporate worship of God, mutual love and concern for fellow believers, and being part of a Divinely appointed mission to the lost, working together as one body, but exercising various gifts of the Spirit to reach and teach the world for Jesus and to build up the local body of Christ. This is becoming more essential and evident as our world becomes more hostile to Christ, His word, and His people.

Team up. It is God's will. It is normal. It is natural. It is Divine. It is productive.
